Buying the same old predictable players would make us the same as everyone else ...

... we've been promoted by doing thing differently and it's been wonderful.

The recently promoted teams like Sheff Utd, Luton, Burnley, etc are just boring and predictable.

We're better than that.
We need to do the elite version of the same thing

Supporters need to be mentally ready that our first signing might not blow their socks off. We are going to sign all sorts of players this window. Not all of them will be indicative of the first one. Trust the club and the process.
If we are focusing on just 4-5 like reported id hope thats quality that can go straight into the XI

My feelings exactly.

After all that's been achieved why become just another dreary club doing the same dreary things.

Some of our football, and goals, have been an absolute joy ...

... more of that would make next season one that would live long in our memories.
No one is saying stray away from the model. But surely we can use this model and sign the 10-15m exciting young talent that will develop but can also have a high chance of being able to do a job here and now

I may be deranged and unrealistic but I'd much rather see how Rigg performs in the PL ...

... than bring in some foreign lad who's '25, muscular and capable' to replace him.

It may be sensible and pragmatic but I don't care tbh <laugh>
I think we need enough strong players that the likes of Rigg can lean on, but not lose our spirit and unity by landing a load of muscular money chasers.

Well I’m sure the business owners will want to be sensible <laugh>

I’d like to think our recruitment team can find better foreign talent than they did mind

Me too.

Looking at a scenario whereby we don't stay up ...

... I'd rather we did that with the majority of the squad we currently have.

That's better than going down, as the likes of Burnley do, whereby everyone wants to leave in my opinion.
