Buying the same old predictable players would make us the same as everyone else ...

... we've been promoted by doing thing differently and it's been wonderful.

The recently promoted teams like Sheff Utd, Luton, Burnley, etc are just boring and predictable.

We're better than that.
We def are, and we might go down but I can take getting relegated if we do things our way

We had an ambitious plan, something different to everyone else and it worked (more teams are copying that now), so that's how we will be successful at the next level

you’re right. There’s just naturally a lot of excitement about the types of signings we could make this window. All I’m saying is that the first signing might not be that exciting “wow” signing. It might be a kid like Gray or it might be the sub keeper!

I just hope people don’t read too much into who the first signing is. Obviously in an ideal world it would be some amazing player who tells the world we mean business, but it’s not an ideal world and the first signing is no indication as to who might follow.
It was a wow mate, le fee <cool>

My feelings exactly.

After all that's been achieved why become just another dreary club doing the same dreary things.

Some of our football, and goals, have been an absolute joy ...

... more of that would make next season one that would live long in our memories.

Yep. I’d be concentrating on high quality and versatility though. Would be sorely tempted to roll the dice at right back given how robust Hume is (with O’Nien and maybe even Huggins in there). Left back is more complicated. Wingers are key, but even then it should be quality rather than quantity if possible. Starter on the right plus an option who can play either side (and maybe through the middle) would be plenty for us imo.
I’d agree. I think we need 3 defenders. A left back to challenge Cirkin. A left sided centre half who is an upgrade on what we have and finally another centre half who can also play right back. It’s one of the reasons I was excited by the Singo links.

I’m sorry rangers a much bigger club are they well up there
The lad behind that account had a SAFC page and his anti-KLD and anti-Speakman 'opinions' just got him a load of hate, so he moved onto his next grift which is Rangers. Pretty sure he made some offensive comments as well but don't quote me on that. Check out his YouTube page, bloke is a dick.

We aren't going to move away from the model. It's got us this far so why change it now. We will give minutes to players that perhaps nobody else would, will it work? Maybe, maybe not. But teams have done the 'experienced' route and have went straight back down as well, 'experience' is no guarantee for success.

We will definitely sign players who can 100% play at the required level, but we'll also sign the Charlie Gray types. And i'd rather give him minutes than Henderson, but that's just how I see things I suppose.

I think we can be absolutely certain that we will do things in a similar manner to the past three seasons. No one can be surprised at this as it has been openly said.

The players we get, or try to get, will be of a higher level, but I expect will be relatively unknown to many. Certainly to me.

They can get on with it! It's their job to worry about all that stuff and do the job, and they're doing it well. Ours is just to enjoy the fruits of their work. I can still barely believe the progress made in such a short time.

It's mind altering when you think about it. No wonder all the experts were saying that you can't do what's been done in the way we've done it. Because you can't.

But, we did. They did. It's bonkers man!

Rangers almost certainly are a bigger club than Sunderland but that doesn’t matter one bit. They’re not as atttactive option to play for right now and any rangers player would give their left arm to join Sunderland this summer
Sheffield Wednesday are a bigger club than Bournemouth, I know which one i'd rather join at the moment. Club size means **** all.

Big club, decent squad, absolutely abysmal league standard.

Not to mention the stupid league format.

Oh wait is this miserable mackem I blocked him today I was sick of seeing his ****e

Is there any reason why Charlie Gray doesn’t appeared to have any international caps does anyone know? His profile is such that he looks a shoe in to have had caps through the age groups.
