Wouldn't be surprised to see him go to Portugal with the squad however, I'd be amazed if he is part of our squad for next season He was class last season but there's so many parts of his game that would get ripped to pieces in the PL
Aye, they all do to be fair and I think RLB is the kind of bloke who will want to see what some of these players can offer.
Quite a leap forward form Sunderland in this is true ... ... a player who can't get on our bench is wanted by a club like Rangers.
I may be deranged and unrealistic but I'd much rather see how Rigg performs in the PL ... ... than bring in some foreign lad who's '25, muscular and capable' to replace him. It may be sensible and pragmatic but I don't care tbh
No one is saying stray away from the model. But surely we can use this model and sign the 10-15m exciting young talent that will develop but can also have a high chance of being able to do a job here and now
I think we need enough strong players that the likes of Rigg can lean on, but not lose our spirit and unity by landing a load of muscular money chasers.
I'm sure they will but bringing in random players may not be the most sensible way forward ... ... Burnley and Sheff Utd did exactly that and stunk out the PL.
Me too. Looking at a scenario whereby we don't stay up ... ... I'd rather we did that with the majority of the squad we currently have. That's better than going down, as the likes of Burnley do, whereby everyone wants to leave in my opinion.
