Na not having that mate.

Roberts had Champ offers. Burnley didn’t pull out, Ballard chose us, and Le Fee wouldn’t blind sign for Regis if there wasn’t a project big enough to appeal to him. Absolutely Reg made it happen but he wasn’t signing for Plymouth if Reg was there.

We can’t keep this ‘we can’t compete’ ****e going, I guarantee Speakman and KLD aren’t thinking this way.
Couldn’t agree more, we might aswell forfeit the season if that’s the attitude

Our main selling point is pretty much guaranteed playing time. We can't go toe to toe on money with pretty much any other PL club so we'll have to get creative. Loans to buy, buys with buyback clauses or heavy sell on %'s, buys with low release clauses. We can offer players a guarantee that we will sell them pretty quickly if the offer is right, players with the correct attitude will take that.

I get you yeah, it will be an interesting one if we actually get linked to any of the "major" talent or have to go more rogue.

Probably not a chance at players like bakayoko with bournemouth actively bidding.

The signing of Le Fée gives me hope that we can attract players because of what we are ...

... we're a much better club than Burnley, for example, and improving all the time.

All very interesting this isn't it, wonderful believing we may actually have a plan and the finance to implement it.

I can't remember ever a feeling like this before tbh.

Tbf we are more attractive to French players now than a lot of premier league teams, concerns about language are gone when they know they'll have a half dozen other French speakers.

We will also be really attractive to a lot of young players, just I don't think yet the kind of players spurs are chasing.

There's a difference though, was just about if we can compete with spurs and Bournemouth for one of the most promising wingers on the continent - which I don't feel like we could.

We've certainly got some attraction
100% there is Bournemouth are established and on the cusp of breaking into Europe, It’s just boring seeing every link being met with ‘no chance we beat x or y to them’ we’ve pulled players in that were above the level we were at before there’s no reason we can’t do it again

Yeah I get that mate, thankfully I'm not one of those - think we've got good connections and make reasonable but attractive promises to players to get them in.

As Sourpatch said we have to be creative and out think clubs we want to finish higher than.

We have to believe we can after what we've already achieved.

Players talk and those like Amad will be saying positive things about us.

We have to capitalise on that and the positive mood around the club, players like that.

Massive crowds, fanatical away support, great stadium, etc, can all help ..

... that surely helps a little if we're competing with Bournemouth, Burnley, etc.

Just comes across abit defeatist to me, you’d think young players all over the world will be jumping at the chance to come here for the minutes and exposure they get as a result, money does trump that but not in every case
