That Chelsea bid kinda puts a bit of context on our Jobe asking price. Dortmund will be thinking they’re signing Jobe to develop and sell in the way they have done with Gittens. But we’re asking for more than Chelsea are bidding for Gittens. They’ll see it as the wrong way round

They can see it which way they want

we are back in the big league now and dont need to sell

agreed. We’ll only need to sell if Jobe kicks off.

(I know we won’t need to sell if he kicks off but we shouldn’t keep a player here against their will if we want to be seen as the place to come as a young player)

That is a bit misleading though. They are indeed owned by a fund, but the fund is a direct arm of the Saudi State. While true that the fund's larger aim is to invest into diverse assets, and make money, it was a front in the case of football. And of course golf, which was openly stated in a US court.

The bought the club for £300m+. They have spent well over £400m and would have spent more if the numbers allowed it. They will never make money out of the club, and really, they are not interested in doing so

All about the sports washing.

I was listening to Libero podcast today and Jonathan Wilson was talking about the sports washing project at PSG and outlined how their president Al-Khelaifi has basically tied up the top level of football by having so many conflicts of interest at the top tables - In addition to being PSG chairman, he's president of BeIN Sports group who have the TV deals of Ligue 1, the Champions League and the Euros. He's also on the UEFA executive committee as the chairman of the European Club Association.

I don't know how sports washing projects in Gulf states work, but I'd be interested to know if Qatar basically owning UEFA is pushing Saudi down the route of trying to own FIFA as a rivalry or if it's mutually beneficial for both of them.

I will scratch my head if we aren’t looking at this. £20million?

Hasn’t blown up as expected but he’s still a beat, a great age and close to 20 Belgium caps already.
He will be a good player if bournemouth want him, they make some great signings

He is a very good player, if a bit inconsistent and raw.

Pacey , strong and direct. Scores goals as well.

Position we aren’t desperate for but we do need Mundle plus 1 at least.
Plays the other side to mundle though no?
