Aye he’s left sided plays off the right, should have said ‘we need one for each side’

Bakayoko-Paddy
Mundle-?
I get you yeah, it will be an interesting one if we actually get linked to any of the "major" talent or have to go more rogue.

Probably not a chance at players like bakayoko with bournemouth actively bidding.

Can we not have a crack with Bournemouth?

No Europe, 12k stadium, likely to lose a lot of their big players.

I’d hope we had a shot v them.

Aye I get they are established, but what hope have we got if we can’t even see the appeal of Sunderland?

I hope players don’t think ‘ooh I fancy that chinos and applause little portakabin over that club’

Players can fail upwards in the PL, happens all the time.

We may go down, but if we do and you’re good enough you’ll land somewhere bigger.

I’d like to think players can see the potential here. Le Fee sure did. As did Paddy in League One, Ballard.

I’m not having we can’t gazzump Bournemouth my entire ****ing chi will not allow me to be that way inclined (rightly or otherwise).

Admittedly, be better if they lost Iraola. But I’m not accepting it.

If we don’t believe you can do something, you won’t.

Bournemouth, Brentford are exactly the kind of clubs we have to beat to stay up and establish.

Sunderland are armed with substantial funds after securing their Premier League status, but will have to be transfer savvy.

Sunderland have identified Stade de Reims centre-back Cedric Kipre as a target despite his relegation to Ligue 2.

Kipre will be familiar to some English fans, given he spent just under four years as a West Brom player.

The defender joined Reims last season, but was unable to save them from relegation to the second tier.

Reims’ demise has sparked speculation regarding Kipre’s future, and France-based journalist Luke Entwistle has provided insight on his future.

“It’s been a dreadful season for them, but it’s a season that [Kipre] can leave with a little bit of credit,” he exclusively told Mackem News when asked about the potential transfer.

“He is one of the most imposing players I’ve ever seen, who I’ve been close to on a football pitch; he’s got a really great physical profile, a really good box defender. I’m actually quite a big fan of his.”

“I think that they’ll struggle to keep hold of Kipre, because he has actually performed pretty well.

“He has a certain value in the English market as well, having played for West Brom prior to joining France, so he will come cheaper.

“For sure, there’s no way that they’re going to be getting more than €10million (£8.42m) for him.

“Given [Reims’] situation, which is pretty perilous, given their relegation, the financial situation more generally in France, he will be a very attainable prospect.

“He is someone who already has experience in England as well, so actually, it’s quite a nice pickup for a team like Sunderland.”

To be fair without Regis being the only coach he ever succeeded under and being his youth coach for years Le fee doesn't happen.

Roberts had been average in the championship and was looking for guaranteed minutes.

Ballard was certainly a coup and one that bought into the project more I feel, but an injury made his Burnley move fall apart and we snuck in.

Na not having that mate.

Roberts had Champ offers. Burnley didn’t pull out, Ballard chose us, and Le Fee wouldn’t blind sign for Regis if there wasn’t a project big enough to appeal to him. Absolutely Reg made it happen but he wasn’t signing for Plymouth if Reg was there.

We can’t keep this ‘we can’t compete’ ****e going, I guarantee Speakman and KLD aren’t thinking this way.

I'm sure we can compete for some really exciting players, and I'm also sure we'll win plenty of battles for players.

Just think Bakayoko would rather move to a club with one eye on Europe than both on survival. We've pulled off some really good deals though, Mayenda and Isidor especially hard to do.

Aye, I said would be ambitious. I just think we could swing that.

Nar roberts definitely hasnt been average. He was unbelieavble in the mowbray playoff season

Southampton also bid for him in the january when they got promoted

hes been a great signing and we did unreal to get him in league 1

Think you misread what I said, he had been average in the championship before signing him.

He's been much better here than elsewhere in the league.

Still believe Mbuemo signs for Man U

Just pleased he won’t be going to the filth
