Most of them are to be fair. He didn’t look too bad in CL.
I did hear lots about him online and people seem to think he was their dream LB, decided to watch him and his positioning is just really bad.

Sometimes him running straight at anyone who tries to attack works and he looks good, other times his mad rushes leave him in no man's land and left for dead.

I still think you're right that there's something there, but has more work to do than people seem to think.

Fair mate. Only seen him 2-3 times definitely stood out in those games. Tiny reference point though.

Might have done mate. I didnt watch a lot of them to be honest.

Ancelloti can get players into any system mind. That fella is tactically one of the best of all time imo.

Sure they did mind, won the champions league basically playing with no striker.. and Joselu coming off the bench to score twice in the last minute :emoticon-0102-bigsm

Aye Ancelotti is some boy.
The most important thing has to be quality, but if we can sign quality who have PL experience then that's a good thing

I don't want players just to come in because they've got experience, they have to improve us on the pitch

I've been against Henderson from an on field point of view, the only saving grace for him is his leadership skills are meant to be world class so that will count for something off the pitch.

I want us to do something different to what other newly promoted sides do, we should be signing young promising players with huge upside. Add 1 or 2 experience lads to that I'm fine with

My best mate is black and white and he never rated Henderson… until they played them at SJP during covid and there was no fans. All you could hear on the TV was Hendo barking orders all match and I remember him messaging to say he’s never seen a player so animated on the pitch it’s like having another manager in the middle of the park.

apologies for the double reply must’ve went to reply to the first comment earlier and forgot to click send :emoticon-0102-bigsm

We could be in a tricky spot if Dortmund refuse to go much higher because I can 100% see Jobe and the family throwing a wobbly. Could get into a bit of a standoff
Who cares we’ve got a valuation we’re not a charity

a Birmingham fan I know was adamant that Mark Bellingham was furiously telling Birmingham that Jobe had to start every game otherwise he’d take him somewhere else. They told him to get stuffed and hence selling to us.

It’s why I always did actually buy into the conspiracy theory that we were intentionally playing Jobe every game even when he was looking tired. I don’t think it was ever contractual - just a gentleman’s agreement.

this is what I meant the other day when I said Jobe and his carefully orchestrated camp was great for us when they wanted him here, but as soon as they decide he needs to be elsewhere, there could be all sorts of funny business going on.
From what I'd heard it wasn't a case of he had to play every minute, it was more a case of if he didn't play a certain amount of minutes he was allowed to leave for a certain amount. Apparently we had the same kind of deal.
The same deal Jude wanted at Man utd that they wouldn't agree to.
People can say what they like about the family, however Jude is currently one of the best players in the world so the way you controlled his development has done him much harm.
Jude is probably one of the most sort after players from last seasons championship so they are obviously doing OK with his development as well

None of these Jobe figures mean a thing unless there's only one club who want to sign him, he wants to leave now and Sunderland are ready to allow a transfer …

… and if another club, or clubs, get into a bidding war everything goes up in the air.

Jobe’s kinda made a rod for his own back by “choosing” Dortmund before he knew if they could afford him. Might end up having to backtrack a bit if another club bids higher
I honestly think they’ll pay €30m with bonuses added and it’ll be sorted before Tuesday myself
