We were physically crushed in midfield that day. By strong players on form mind. But that’s the first where we have to stiffen up. We also couldn’t retain the ball at the top of the field. Triantis has only been called up for Australia mate he’s also spoke at length recently about wanting to be called up to the senior team which is why he needs to be playing
Yes he’s massive in dressing room and will provide good depth. But we need a top starter at the back
As I remember, they weren't on form and pressure was probably more on them as they'd crashed out of Europe. However, they were a second quicker both physically and mentally. My point is we have improved since then, though still need to strengthen, and as you say, midfield is key.
He's been linked to a call up from Greece and pulled out of the Australia squad because of his "club future". All seems a bit convenient to me. Think we might see him move to Greece.
I would also say that the team that day suffered from poor tactics.
