I meant one who is genuinely starting and not on the treatment table. Alese is excellent but at this moment, I have no faith he can play 30 games a year

I think it's 09 is, and Ballard generally sits deeper, so less likely to get in trouble.

Ideally our new centre back has some genuine pace.

That's why a few of us are excited by Singo, genuine pace
Reckon there’s a genuine chance? Or just a lazy French football link, champions league football or Sunderland, not sure if years in the abyss has warped my idea of who we can attract

Anyone else think Aji might be less injury prone playing centre back? Can't he good for a big lad him having to get up and down the pitch at left back.

Mind at 24yr old it's now or never for him at the club.

I def think there's a chance, be a hard deal to get done but we've pulled off some cracking deals since speakman and co have come in

Don’t know what to expect tbh, we got Clarke and Robert’s in league one and Amad and Le Fee in the championship. Not to mention beating of Burnley initially to sign Ballard. Who knows what pedigree of players we will be targeting.

I think we will annouce ELF when the players come back to preseason training,

hopefully another few will join,

also hopefully by the end of the week the Jobe stuff should be shorted,

Hope so,he'd be a great signing. Just what we need. We do have an "in" at Monaco too,I do believe.:emoticon-0102-bigsm

I don't. I think his build his just prone to injuries unfortunately. Had some really bad ones. I really hope it works out for him like. Has it all to be a class CH, be class on the left side of a 3 too.

Oh yeah. There are better options for all our players TBF. That said, I think for around the 5m or so he would be a very good permanent signings. Adds some maturity to the group for me. Lots of players seem to look up to him too.
If not a starter then great for a squad player. I'd have him in above O'Nien, who I think will struggle in the Prem. But again another good squad player.

O’Nien is a better bench option than Mepham due to his versatility. Would probably still sign CM though, particularly if he’s on a free.

It’s not so ouch raw pace as touch and reaction speed that’s better in the PL.

Some rapid wingers for sure but if you look around ret of park being ‘quick’ isn’t as important as being ‘sharp’.

A couple prime examples are Odegaard and Rodri, ain’t a club on earth turning them down for a lack of pace.

Top of my head Gabriel, Stones, Milinkovic. Anyone turning down that 3 for a lack of pace?
