Not saying you’re wrong but we don’t know how RLB thinks he can use him. We have some very recent experience of some fans thinking they know better than RLB. I trust him to get this right.

Think the problem is getting those players to sign, just been given a brand new palace contract and European football.

As others have pointed out the best value is abroad, but from an experience perspective I would want 1 or 2 who’ve played in the premier and would be willing to come to us, and I keep coming back to Vini Souza and Gus Hamer from Sheff Utd.
I know Hamer doesn’t play 90 minutes but with 5 subs he shouldn’t ever need to.

I'm not hugely in favour of Henderson coming back from a footballing point of view due to not having the mobility we need. His experience would be invaluable though.
We've talked about wages and I can't see how we can bring proven 23 to 28 year old PL players in, with wages that make sense with the rest of the squad. Could we bypass that by signing top talent from abroad and using Henderson to help turbocharge their development?

Wherever he ends up, he’ll want to play. Hardly kicked a ball last season, even when out on loan

Yeah thats the sort of mold, but I think I would rather Henderson over JWP and theres no way to sign Cook or Hughes imo.
