He's a 26 year and oldEnglish centre back who has made 60 Premier League appearances and played at Juventus. That kind of experience is not to be sniffed at. I'm not sure exactly where he fits but with Masuaku coming in, it might be that we're looking to play 3 at the back with wing backs in certain games.
"She brings you tea and oranges that come all the way from China." That Suzanne girl from the 60's gets everywhere. Ageing hippy here with fond memories of Hydra.
To me that looks like he's wanting a rumour spreading, which is why he replied to you and others. Luckily you're in a position to check it with your contact at the club and shoot it down, but others won't be so it gets put out and gathers legs especially if people see Le Fee is injured and go 2+2=5. It's why I take all transfer rumours with a pinch of salt. I think most ITKs put stuff out in good faith, good or bad, but that doesn't mean that they aren't being used down the line by someone else with a malicious agenda.
The decline in "proper" journalism and the rise of social media "reporters", is the answer. There's so many twitter, Facebook, podcasts etc these days who act as if they're reporters, all desperate for a story or a scoop so they can be noticed and get clicks/likes that they'll do stuff like that. And some agents will be happy with that so they can get stuff out to engineer moves or better contracts for their players.
It shouldn't terrify anyone, he's a intelligent player, he will know he can't get away with stuff in the Premier league.
I agree, he should be played deeper. We saw in the Play Off Final how much better we looked when he dropped deeper. His main problem is we have a certain Granit Xhaka in that role now. Le Fee doesn't seem to be the right fit for the more advanced midfield role and Sadiki has surprised a lot of people with his performances. He'll still get plenty of game time though, as will Rigg in the advanced role. I can only see Neil getting game time as a replacement for Diarra, because I can't see him dislodging Xhaka or ELF in the pecking order for the deep lying role. Just my opinion, of course. RLB's might be different.
Anyone else a bit underwhelmed by this? He once was a force, but I feel like he's not particularly bothered now he's won the treble. Happy to eat my own words but I don't think we'll see him hit over 6 goals a season again now. Wages would be massive, giving me massive Sterling vibes where he's living off his previous name rather than what he could do now
The same as every other defender in the primer league, they all grab and grapple like wrestlers at corners etc.
40m euros for diakite. Think that tipped it out of our price range personally. Especially as we need two centre backs ideally (although remains to be seen if we do go for a second)
