Funnily enough, no ...

... we drove through a place called Barga, in Italy, where there's loads, weird!
I’ve mentioned it before. I lived in Northamptonshire for quite a few years which is essentially in the midlands below Birmingham. There’s a town there, Corby, where the vast majority of the locals speak with a distinct Scottish accent.

There's a place in Luguria, we stayed in called Scotti.

As you know i means plural of the word in Italian, so it's the town of the Scotts, of which I'm one ...

... couldn't find out a damn thing, about the origin, from anyone in the place <laugh>

Reactions: Evil Jimmy Krankie
Never had you down as a hippy Mr M. Thought you were more of a psychedelic/prog rock type of guy.
We'll say "adaptable" Jimmy.
1967 was when I hit London and grew my hair long. But it came out as a more Afro style. So I'm on the Tube one day and a couple of trendy ladies complemented me on my Jimi Hendrix hairstyle.

So I kept it until I had to get a job some years later.
Can you imagine a Hendrix style teacher at AHS?
Incidentally I saw Hendrix at Cellar Jazz club in South Shields in I think 1967....and Cream too the same year.
Pretty awesome.

Somehow I couldn’t imagine old JJ being too happy with it. Us pupils would’ve loved it!

Pinch of salt time.

Sunderland is interested in Sacha Boey, a 24-year-old French defender who is currently at Bayern Munich. His contract with the German club runs until 2028. According to Transfermarkt, his current market value is €18.00m. Several other clubs, including Galatasaray, Fenerbahçe, and Olympique Marseille, have also been linked with the player.

Been linked a couple times during the window

Good player for sure, I'd only go for him if we still have plenty left in the budget (obviously the club know this best)

Is this fella the only ginger Italian ever?

<laugh>He might come from South Tyrol.

They don't look typically Italian there. In fact many Italians still don't see them as Italian. Janick Sinner had to make a big thing about how he felt Italian, something he wouldn't have dreamt of doing if he'd come from say Milan or Bologna.

All a lot of history, war and speaking German there, and being a bit geographically apart.
