Just a thought. Are emergency loans just for keepers?
If not, get a couple of fullbacks in whilst we work on getting the permanent deals over the line.
There's no chance of that mate.
We have O'Nien, Flanagan, Winchester, Younger, etc, who can all play full back.
Good ide though![]()
Humphreys and at a push Cousins and that’s it for me.I've just had a quick look at the Wigan 20 man squad. There's absolutely nothing to be afraid of there imo. Of their new players I'm not sure I'd be too excited if we'd signed them . Respect them but we'll finish above them.
People still just overlooking a great pre season when we deservedly beat a team a league up and destroyed a competitive team from the league below.
There’s no team in this league with a 30 man, balanced first team squad. Not one.
We have to forget we are Sunderland and remember we are League One.
I’m serene for Saturday arms have faith we will have players in by the end of the window, which is 4.5 weeks away.
Are folk suggesting we haven’t a team for Saturday? Cos we ****ing have. One of the strongest in the league even as it stands, with 30k plus behind us.
We all want signings, let’s not start tearing down the new regime for trying to do things right.
Teams signing players we didn’t ****ing want and folk screaming ‘look what they did!’. Have a word man.
He regularly posted the team the day before the match so he’s definitely ITK.Is deodrant over the road ITK? People reacting to him like he is.
He’s saying we are making it look like we want the right players then pulling out when we get close?!!
doesn’t even make sense?
Love this post.
I’d argue that even if the squad is weaker than last season, the team is better. Tactics etc
I know, I know...

Neither of those extremes tbh ...
... I want players in but not ones we hope will fit only to find out they don't.
McFadzean had plenty of time to become part of a well drilled defensive unit but never did ...
.... the last thing we need is more like him, especially if we don't 'haggle' and end up paying them for being shyte over the next three years.
What it boils down to is whether you trust the people at the club and think they know better than you ... or you don't.
I said around not inside, so no none of the those things are accessible to me. Most of what the average fan can see is just bleak exterior. Being on forums like this and the Internet in general make it easier to see a bigger picture of the club, but many aren't and all they see is an almost forgotten stadiumSo you'll have seen the new pitch at the sol? Massive renovations within the AOL offices and sporting areas ? The amount of new staff brought in to work on operational aspects ?
It's comprehensive. Just because the bricks and mortar from the outside look the same it doesn't tell half the story. A considerable amount of investment has been made to significantly bring Safc up to scratch.
Now they just need to close on the deals.

Remember there is another transfer window, where we can strengthen where required. If (and it’s a big if) this is true and we lose out to either of those clubs…that’s when I’ll start to worry.
As it stands I think we have a squad that can challenge if they all stay fit, however that’s unlikely and will only take 1 or 2 injuries for it to all fall to pieces.
I don’t think it’s a case of trust them don’t trust them, there are things they’re doing right and there will be mistakes being made. I like that they have a plan and strategy and that’s a blessing for us - a massive positive - but it’s daft not to identify and be critical of errors. They’ll be doing the same about themselves.
Wonder why that’s suddenly a problem for fans. When the players disliked di Canio, it was the players’ fault. Now they (apparently) dislike Johnson, it seems to be Johnson’s fault! (In the circles I’ve been reading anyhow)He regularly posted the team the day before the match so he’s definitely ITK.
He also said the players disliked Johnson.
I would suggest that he’s clearly ITK at the playing level but if that were it then there’s no reason he’d be privy to what’s going on in recruitment and boardroom level. Most players won’t even know.
