Great day all round and even better for my 8yr old. His other Grandma and Grandad sponsored the match ball so they were in the stadium from about 11. He had his photo and birthday wishes up on the screen, much to his embarrassment. We all met up pitchside before the game and my oldest son gave him a present and birthday card. At halftime he opened up the card and there was a £10 note in. He had met Micky Horswill before the game but Jimmy Montgomery had been around him quite a bit, so he went up to Monty and said he would like to give him the £10 for being nice to him.
After taking the £10 (joking), Montgomery asked him if he would like to go with him and promptly took him down to the tunnel and met O9, his favourite player.
He was then given a ball with all the players signatures on, which wrapped the day perfectly, apart from having a takeaway tonight at our house when they got back.
Thank you Monty ⚽
Quality well done all round

Sounds like your day was sponsored by Carlsberg.
Excellent post mate, and a day your lad will never forget.

Looks like Diamond and Hawkes will go out on loan.

If they’re replaced with a couple of attacking options I’m all for it

Think Broadhead allows Hawkes to go on loan, and whoever is going to occupy the number 7 shirt probably allows Diamond to go on loan. Wouldn't be surprised to see Younger go out on loan too.

Would hope all to league one sides or equivalent level.

I think we still need more additions, Patterson did ok yesterday but he needs a loan imo, centre mid without Evans was a bit of a struggle and less said about McGeady and Gooch the better.

Was chuffed Patterson kept a clean sheet, watching him at the start of the game he understandably looked nervy. Definitely better at distribution than Burge imo, apart from one kick which came to nothing. Grew into the game and well worth another start v Blackpool. Fwiw I've don't care about the Carabao cup

Not sure he had a shot to save? Did at least once come off his line to catch a high ball, shouting 'my ball'.

I can remember one shot they had first half just flew past the right post. From where I was sat he had it covered anyway. Did what he had to do...granted, not much tho.

Reactions: Robertson
Does he keep dislocating it, or is it a rotator cuff type of injury?
I'm sure it was a dislocation yesterday and will need surgery to sort it out. LJ was hoping it can wait until the end of the season and they will try to manage it. Seems like an awful risk and surely must affect the player while he is playing.
