David M has Blackburn interested in loaning Sylla and Portsmouth Smyth. I'd prefer to hear some Club want Washington .
No **** wants Washington and he can at least cover a wide midfield role if absolutely necessary. Sylla is dreadful and scoring one tap-in every four games doesn’t change that.
This suggests he is the most effective of these 4 at Championship level. Doesn't really matter where they score from they all = 1 goal!
Historically speaking... Championship stats:
Sylla: Games=61, Goals=18, Minutes Per Goal=165
Hemed: Games=81, Goals=28, Minutes Per Goal=180
Smith: Games=154, Goals=36, Minutes Per Goal=206
Wells: Games=144, Goals=45, Minutes Per Goal=235
according to Sunday People, QPR are after 3 Derby players on loan, a winger, striker and midfielder - two of whom Steel has identified.
There are rumours that Portsmouth want to take Smyth on.
How many on loan players can a club play at one time - is it 5 or 6?
I have also read that McLaren says he is a good coach to good players - so not a good manager then. Comments like that are hardly likely to motivate the players.

The important general point is that business is not complete yet.
I'm pleased with that and look forward to what surprises we have in store.
Only slight negative is to consider when we last had a Chelsea loanee. Mancienne ??

Another midfielder and another striker? ?We need a defender......….
Martin has been top of McClarens list all summer but I would have thought bringing in Hemed would have ended that interest. Could be an interesting week.Les and McClown were at Chelsea U23 v Derby yesterday, watching Chris Martin (who scored) and George Thorne, and hopefully looking out for some defenders to bring in too....

Perhaps he wants better back up for Hemed and thinks he can loan out Smith and Sylla.Martin has been top of McClarens list all summer but I would have thought bringing in Hemed would have ended that interest. Could be an interesting week.
