It's that time of year again, when we start to look towards next season and the rumours start flying in.

Fresh from Get West London.....

QPR among Championship sides to express 'interest' in ex-Arsenal forward
According to reports in the Sun, QPR are one of several clubs interested in signing Dagenham & Redbridge forward Fejiri Okenabirhie.

The season may be drawing to a close, but it appears that the rumour mill is starting to circle once again at Loftus Road.

According to reports in the Sun, QPR are one of several clubs interested in signing Dagenham & Redbridge forward Fejiri Okenabirhie.

The 22-year-old has impressed for the Daggers this term, and made the headlines after scoring a hat-trick for England C in their recent 3-2 victory over Wales.

Okenabirhie has been labelled one of the best talents in non-league football, leading to reported interest from the Hoops.

Okenabirhie joined Dagenham from Ryman League Premier Division side Harrow Borough in June 2016 after scoring ten goals in 23 appearances.

He had started out with Arsenal's Academy before joining Stevenage where he played three times in League One before dropping down the divisions with Harrow.

The striker, who can also play on the wing, is reportedly valued at £250,000 but could depart the National League club on a cut-price basis due to financial troubles at the East London club.

However it's thought that QPR would face competition from Championship rivals Norwich City, Reading and Bristol City for the talented strikers signature.

While these reports are unconfirmed, the Hoops do have previous for scouring the lower leagues for talent.

Due to financial restrictions, the Hoops have opted to seek high potential, hungry young players who are keen to break to into the team at Loftus Road, with the likes of Paul Smyth, Bright Osayi-Samuel and David Wheeler being key examples.

QPR were also close to signing Hendon striker Niko Muir in January; showing a willingness to cast an eye over any player who deserves a chance to impress.

"He had started out with Arsenal's Academy before joining Stevenage where he played three times in League One before dropping down the divisions with Harrow."

It might be the way it was phrased but I'm not sure that would make the final edit of his CV.

Shodipo hasn't started yet for Colchester :emoticon-0104-surpr

First start at the weekend, and only a handful of subs appearances before that....don't know if he's been injured or just not impressing, but if he's in Ollies plans (which he must be because we can't afford any replacement) he needs to up his game a bit from L2 to Championship level. Eze seems to have managed it, so hopefully Shodipo can too.

Fulham, Brentford and QPR are all interested in Hibernian midfielder Dylan McGeouch.

Aberdeen have been chasing the 25-year-old, whose Hibs contract expires this summer.

But several English clubs, including all three of west London’s Championship sides, are keen on McGeouch and in a position to make him a better financial offer.

Blackburn, promoted from League One, have long been interested in him and reports in Scotland have suggested he is likely to move there.

However, QPR have been planning to make him an offer, while Fulham and Brentford have been monitoring him for some time.

He is near the top of a list of playersQPR’s scouting team are set to suggest to Steve McClaren, who is expected to take over as manager at Loftus Road this week following the sacking of Ian Holloway.

Hibs signed McGeouch from Celtic in 2015 after he had spent a season on loan with the Edinburgh club.

He has played in England, having made eight appearances – all as a substitute – while on loan at Coventry City from Celtic in 2014.

If Ned goes there then it is purely for the money, they still have 2 years of parachute payments, amount around £35m next season in League 1.........roughly 20 times the complete wages budget for Accrington Stanley whom they will be playing next season..........so they can afford him but he can do so much better than them.......

Interest in getting him in on loan for the season with the option to buy, presume it will depend on burnley getting a suitable replacement as they gear up for European football. Also interest in a Bristol city defender but no name as of yet I'm afraid.

Funnily I saw something mentioned 2 days ago on Twitter discussing Wells. Still I am sure many will be salivating over this rumour on FI.

Said at the time we got Smithies that we should have done a double swoop, he could've been the one to replace Charlie, but Kneecap didn't fancy him. Proven at Championship level, didn't turn out to be a Prem player unfortunately for him. Would be a good signing, but even on loan I don't see us being able to afford his wages/loan fee (unless TF does get a new partner, as suggested SMc may be bringing with him....)

I always liked Wells and agree Kneecap didn't like him. Just goes to show what he knew? He was valued at just £1M then. <doh>
As for our money, we have got rid of Chump/Mackie/Jet/Perch (have I missed anyone)? That should give us some money to bring in 2 pretty good players. Les mentions it in an article.

Ah ha just what we need ANOTHER midfielder, are we running low on them !!
Surely we haven’t used all ours up already,I thought we had about a five season supply still left in their boxes untouched !!!!!
To be honest, it's not the size of the midfield that counts it's the quality!

We have several midfielders but that area is one we do actually need strengthening in, in my opinion. Freeman is not good enough, unless he improves his decision making. Luongo and Scowen are good. but we probably need one or two experienced central mindfielders and a winger or two as well.
