Interesting point. Both he and Gazzaniga are young, so I suspect the second spot is up for grabs.
So, is this keeper 2nd or 3rd choice as presumably Davies is still No1???

Sharp going rather confirms the fact that NA is going to push on with 4-3-3 - in my opinion Sharp, of all our striking options, is the one least cut out to lead the line in this formation. Yes of course we need a flexibility to move to 4-4-2 or whatever, but then we have all that covered if you consider the plethora of striking options that are in the squad.
Of course it's sad, he's done nothing wrong and he's a great lad - it's a shame - but he just doesn't quite fit in to the new formation and new Saints that's being built right now for the Premiership.
Disclaimer - of course I could be utterly wrong on all counts.
Think we may have a loan coming in ourselves. Only 2 and a half hours left now though.
3rd, he's almost certainly behind Gazzaniga. Gazza was purchased as future #1, Cropper is the typical #3, will play often with the U21 league side![]()
Think I would agree with you there. Was Cropper a free?
i mentioned Matt Kilgallon coming in on loan on saintsweb, ofcourse i was immediatley shot down.
I agree with the points on Sharp maybe not being right to lead the line in a 4-3-3, however my only reservation is that despite all the reasons why he wouldn't start, if a ball was going to drop in an opponents penalty area with ten minutes left, I'd back Billy to toe poke it home.
My guess is Cropper was the best young keeper we could find who didn't have a club. He'll be for emergencies and play for the dev team. So good luck to him.
Anyway, more Twitterators saying Sharp is going to Forest on loan, don't know if it's actually true.
I bet it is, he tweeted about it earlier and didn't deny it. Must be something going on. Maybe wants to go back up North or something?Anyway, more Twitterators saying Sharp is going to Forest on loan, don't know if it's actually true.
