Is QPR's spending really that low? I haven't been paying THAT much attention to them but haven't they signed 11 or 12 players this summer?

Wesley Sneijder is off to arsenal...

Not Saints related - but I've heard this one too

As for Sasn't the Billy Sharp rumour something someone made up earlier?!

Meanwhile - Nigel said in his interview earlier that they'd all in be at the stadium until after the deadline passes, implying more signing(s) to come!

Fazaw Al-Hawasi - Owner of Nottingham Forest:

Shame. I did really like Sharp but I don't think he fits what we are putting together in terms of tactics and personnel.

Wouldn't be here without his goals and he's one of football's good guys. All the best Billy.

Southampton Football Club on Twitter:

Striker @billysharp10 has joined @Official_NFFC on loan for the rest of the 2012-13 season. Good luck, Billy! #saintsfc

From a personal point of view, I'd be disappointed at letting Sharp go. I really like him. But putting bias and personal feelings to one side, I'm not sure he'd have had too much of an impact this season.

If he were to stay, I doubt he'd start many PL matches at all (especially not with the new formation), and regardless of whether he's starting or coming on as a sub, I don't think he'd do too much outside of the penalty box in this league. And unless we're into the last 15 mins and in desperate need of a goal, I don't think we're in the position to be able to carry someone in the side whose impact is limited to in and around the six yard box (staying up will be hard enough with 11 players, let alone effectively 10).

But still, I'd be disappointed.
