    Gazzaniga has had first team experience (and by all accounts is better) so I'd expect him to keep the second keeper slot.

    3rd, he's almost certainly behind Gazzaniga. Gazza was purchased as future #1, Cropper is the typical #3, will play often with the U21 league side :)

    Also interesting s the Butland to Everton rumour - not sure I would wish to pay £8m for him but I guess is not my money. I thought they were potless also?

    I think you're probably right. He's the least versatile as well, all the other strikers can play across the front positions or in midfield if necessary. Sharp, though a good finisher, doesn't really offer a lot else.

    I agree with the points on Sharp maybe not being right to lead the line in a 4-3-3, however my only reservation is that despite all the reasons why he wouldn't start, if a ball was going to drop in an opponents penalty area with ten minutes left, I'd back Billy to toe poke it home.

    My guess is Cropper was the best young keeper we could find who didn't have a club. He'll be for emergencies and play for the dev team. So good luck to him.

    Anyway, more Twitterators saying Sharp is going to Forest on loan, don't know if it's actually true.

    Not a rumour but what about Richards on loan? With Maicon going to City and Zabaleta still there he might be third choice at RB, and they don't seem to rate him as a CB. Oh and ofc most importantly he has PACE
