James McCarthy poised to leave Everton before the window closes with Moyes keen to include him in any deal for Kone.

May as well take something back from them if Kone leaves.

I'd take Jagielka as well tbh in this deal.

McCarthy is a very good player, I've always liked him, he's a bit like Cattermole only good, and with many more strings to his bow.

That's not what I'm saying at all, you don't need to be a quantum physicist to figure out what I'm saying.

It's pointless debating with somebody really if they're just gonna throw their toys about and stamp their feet, innit.

I am throwing any toys or stamping feet, I just disagree with you. I would like to know what you think we should do?

You just seem to think its impossible to hold a player to his contract if he wants to leave, I grant you its not easy but WBA managed it last season and so did Everton with Stones.

Granted Everton kept Stones and the bid went from £30m to £47m for him.

Berahino has made it clear he's ready to see this season out at WBA and leave for nothing, wow, great piece of negotiating there by Peace.

All I'm saying, is if he's not committed then the money is un-turn-down-able to you lot given the red mess you're in. These guys know how to play the game, dig their heels in and sulk, and most of the time it makes sense to let them go, rather than having a dead weight in the side. How well did Berahino and Stones play last season? Both absolutely atrocious <ok>

We can't say that 100% until the end of the window but if it's the case then we might as well accept relegation.

The how is easy, their owners are investing their own money, the why is more difficult.

Part of our problem is location, players just don't want to come to the NE.

Location thing is horse ****.

Boro have signed Negredo, they've signed Stuani, they've signed Valdes.

We go M'Vila, Toon many big names. It's ambition not location.

We will panic now get reserve players in, or players past it, or bring Rodwell back in who Sam did not play, but come January after Moyes walks we then get in a 9th manager under Short !, get a striker in finally and with 7 matches to go we are 10 points adrift of safety but the miracle happens again and we stop up hehe.

Or money? to have ambition you have to spend some money too.

I hope Mvila returns it might give everyone a bit of a boast.

What if we have agreed to let Kone go but want player swap and cash to the value of Everton's supposedly 18m offer thereby making Everton have to fight to get what they want. We may be a bit more cute in transfer dealings and player acquisition than people think.

Sunderland are close to finalising a season loan for Atletico Madrid right-back Javier Manquillo.

The 22-year old has had spells with Liverpool and Marseille in recent seasons.

The Black Cats were reportedly competing with Premier League rivals Watford for the Spain Under 21 international, although it seems that David Moyes has won the race.

.........

Daily mail mind.

Villa have been recently linked with both Yedlin and Trippier. Trippier has a meeting this week with Spurs to discuss playing time. Maybe it's Trippier on the move.

If so, and Yedlin stays as Walker's backup, he could start against Safc on Sept. 18th. as Spurs have a mid week Champios league group stage match on the 13 -14 Sept.

Hope the lads beat Spurs, but I sure hope Yedlin makes Moyes, choke on his "or someone better" comment.

Seems to have a decent CV for only being 22 so these clubs have obviously seen something in him.

Also played for all the Spain youth teams so may be worth a shot.
