Gone are the days where clubs represented their communities and the players would bleed for the shirt, it's become a global game, people wanted it and they got it including all the excesses it has brought.

If he can x15 his money, I can't begrudge him when it's all everybody does anyway. He probably has 5 years left in the sport, he still probably has 50 years left on this earth, that money will set him and his kids up for a nice life.

Not for some.

You could feel the pride, from the player and the crowd, when Rigg came off against Burnley.

When you see local lads like Dan Neil, Patterson, Rigg, etc playing for the Lads it's a wonderful thing.

I appreciate, for some people, it's all become 'Football Manager' with players shifted around like lumps of meat but for many it's far more than a computer game. The fans, at Portsmouth tomorrow, will feel they're representing the club, the region and the history ...

... if football was so anaemic no one would bother going, they'd just watch TV and save all that bother.

Nothing better than seeing local lads making the first team and doing well.

Living out the dream we all had

Fans are the last unsanitised thing in the sport yet they'd love to sanitise us too. Too much booing and crude songs etc

Not just local. You look at the likes of Ball, Bennett, Quinn and more lately 09, who would run through brick walls for the club.

Lyon play at 7:45 so team news will be out soon. We will find out about Orban then.

I really don't think this one is happening though, just a lack of reports on it.
I don’t think we get a striker in other than the young like from gent maybe, centre back and the 2 cm’s is all I can see happening

go on Sunderland make me look a dick, PLEASE
