If Clarke goes would we sign a new winger? Is this part of the thinking behind Isidor signing cos he can play and score from LW?

Our front 3 could be Isidor, Simic and Roberts. Then if Simic isn't available for whatever reason you could just move Isidor central and play Mundle LW, or a straight swap with Mayenda depending on the opposition/form. This would then give Watson and Ba more opportunities from the bench as currently I don't see how they get in with Clare/Mundle and Roberts/Poveda for each wing.

We certainly have plenty of options and, of course, Roberts is a left footed winger if we need someone there..

And there's still the PL loan I was promised by an RTG who knows stuff but doesn't post it after all the flak he took.

It was supposed to be a striker but, with the emergence of Mayenda, and the signings, that may have changed.

No idea who we could drop though, so guaranteeing game time wouldn't be possible imo.

This is more like it. The transfer window is eventually getting going for us. I wonder why the Simic deal is only happening now. Did he just become available or did we switch after giving up on Mendy?

I'd like to think he was on our radar and when the Mendy deal went a little difficult,we activated it. No idea mind...just my guess....kind of fits in with the way I think we're being run.

I was under the impression one loan one permanent

I think they’ll be buzzing with these two rather than a prem loan

It just shows how quickly perceptions can change doesn't it.

Before the Sheff Wed game we'd have swapped a vital organ for a PL striker loan.

Now, if Mayenda scores against Burnley, he's suddenly undroppable ...

... even if it's a tap in, or a deflection, people will have to accept it's his shirt and innocent until proven guilty <laugh>

Thats it, i dont think we are going to rely one 1 player to be our creator. Obviously Clarke is our main attacking threat and it would be a massive blow to lose a player of his quality but RLB seems to want us to play as a team both in n out of possession so replacing one player isnt impossible

Mundle is an exciting player and he will def contribute this season, i do wonder if we have someone lined up if we were to get the money we want for Clarke

I know we have be scouting some more expensive players this summer, in case we do lose one of our big stars

Id love to bring in Simic n Isidor and keep Clarke but lets see how it plans out

For those concerned with Simic's goal scoring record last season, i think its because he was having to offer the width for Salzburg as they play a diamond formation. I think if he plays with 2 wingers n can focus on being the CF he will score goals. I watched a few games last season where he got into some great goal scoring positions but he just wasnt picked out by teammates - so at least hes getting into the right positions

Sounds like our centre forwards last year where it seemed our game plan was to give it to Clarke ASAP and hope he created something. RLB seems to have other options in his game plan :emoticon-0148-yes:
