My opinion on how we should replace Clarke is with a high end PL loan. I like Mundle and obviously Watson is there so I don't think we should invest in another winger, just loan one to give both of them time to develop without being thrust into the first team straight away.

The loan needs to be a ball carrier with a goal threat. Clarke is in the 99th percentile for wingers for both progressive carries and successful take ons and in the 91st percentile for shot creating actions.

My suggestions are Samuel Edozie and Jaidon Anthony. I think both are available for a loan and both rate pretty similarly to Clarke data wise and would, for me, bring similar qualities to the team without blocking the pathway for Mundle and Watson in the future.

Isidor and Simic are two very decent striker signings that's for sure, I wonder who starts

And if our plan is ‘give it to Clarke’, we’d need to step back from that anyway.

Mind, it cannot be £15m rising to £20m, that’s not nearly enough. And we can’t link add ins to them staying up that’s too risky.
I think the plan under Mowbray and Dodds was definitely give it to Clarke. From the two games I’ve watched on the telly this season, probably not.

He’ll go with my best wishes like, been the ultimate pro here and deserves a crack at the prem, 2 promising strikers coming in and then there’s mundle who’s potential is huge, won’t reach it without regular games, could be a blessing, definitely just trying to convince myself of this though :emoticon-0102-bigsm
Spot on, zero hard feelings and would want the lad to do well.

…I’m sure you’d be saying the same if we were bringing in a couple of forwards from the National League :emoticon-0117-talki
Of course, but even so I'm sure anyone who looks into either of these two should come to the same conclusion

Thats it, i dont think we are going to rely one 1 player to be our creator. Obviously Clarke is our main attacking threat and it would be a massive blow to lose a player of his quality but RLB seems to want us to play as a team both in n out of possession so replacing one player isnt impossible

Mundle is an exciting player and he will def contribute this season, i do wonder if we have someone lined up if we were to get the money we want for Clarke

I know we have be scouting some more expensive players this summer, in case we do lose one of our big stars

Id love to bring in Simic n Isidor and keep Clarke but lets see how it plans out

For those concerned with Simic's goal scoring record last season, i think its because he was having to offer the width for Salzburg as they play a diamond formation. I think if he plays with 2 wingers n can focus on being the CF he will score goals. I watched a few games last season where he got into some great goal scoring positions but he just wasnt picked out by teammates - so at least hes getting into the right positions
