Look at what he's done for them over the years. Signing players like Ravanelli months after scoring the winning goal in the Champions league final. How does that even happen?
Gazza, Allen Boksic, Southgate, Juninho, Paul Ince to name but a few of the big names he's brought over to Teesside.
Building a team that was capable to reach a Uefa Cup final, he's brought some really exciting times for Boro fans over the years, and they are lucky to have him.

He took over when they were on their arse, built them a new stadium, one of the best training grounds in the country, and made them the club they are today despite having a small fanbase.
He has but most of that was in the past, as i said decent owner but not done much in the last 10 yrs

Id rather KLD in charge at the minute, feel hes done/doing some really exciting things

What has any of that got them? Couple of cup finals and plenty relegations.

Would have taken Conway definitely. We need to make moves and soon. Otherwise it's going to be the same old (we tried but our target didn't fit the profile we wanted)
I think he’d have been good but he’s not got the best reputation. Someone with goals in this division, that age sounds like our profile. I just have a feeling there’s something lined up but I also have a bit of sunburn so it easily be that.

What’s really telling watching Leeds vs Boro who have both made 8 changes each from the weekend, is how much better their second 11s are compared to ours. It’s stark.

Leeds are losing 3-0

yeah, so? Our second 11 would be losing by more!!! I know you don’t like people saying things aren’t perfect at the club. But it’s only on watching other teams do it that the differences stand out.

If you want us competing to sign players like Conway or Simms you have to be prepared to sell players. We can't have both.

Are Boro fans sat there thinking about Akpom, Rogers, Tavernier or Spence right now while they add another striker to a strike force that has 4 players that would start as the striker for us? Nope.

You cant just disregard his past because it suits. He took over when they were bankrupt, and sharing Hartlepool uniteds stadium.
Its amazing what hes done with them, looking at how small of a club they are with not the best of fanbases
