People keep saying strikers Speakman has signed but he doesn’t do the scouting or the recruiting. He’s the final man who agrees contracts etc. Stuart Harvey and his team do the rest

My perception was that it goes beyond that. So Harvey and his team do the scouting and identification, but its Speakman who then decides who to bid for , how much to bid for them etc.

So its very fair to say that Speakman hasn't recruited a striker. But what we don't know is whether thats because the scouting team aren't identifying suitable ones, or because Speakman is too reluctant to act strongly on the ones that have been identified

It’s a minority, and a minority who don’t go to games (they online during them…)

So I know who I’m believing, given Copley’s wordplay in the article (signed/agreed) it just seems like it’s an article thrown together to gain clicks for revenue for the echo.

By senior striker do we mean striker who score goals regularly at senior level ? Or one who doesn’t qualify for a young persons railcard?

The former, age doesn't mean much to me, as long as they are scoring in men's football
