Same here. Hardie has a good scoring record and obviously did well at the SOL but when I've seen him on the box he hasn't impressed. He seems to lack work rate and when a lot of our game will be a high, hard working press I don't think he'd fit. I felt yesterday Mayenda didn't work hard enough on the press and Rusyn was more effective when he came on with regard the press. It will be interesting to see how he does this afternoon.

we seem to have a thing of fixating on players for a number of years who had one good performance against us.

look forward to this season’s edition.

Was very highly rated a year or two back but had two awful loans.

not for me
Just messagdd someone hes one of the best young strikers i watched at youth level but just hasnt stepped up to senior football (yet)

He would fit the style of play but im not convinced by him as a no9, i think he will end up playing wider or deeper

Def not reading too much into it, Egan struggles defending in a back 4 - we wont play a back 3 so therefore i wouldnt sign him

Cant sign a player if they arent going to fit into a system and i just dont Egan fits into our system at all. Had a cracking career but dont think hes been great last couple of yrs

He would def bring leadership qualities to the squad
He's played and done well in a back 4. The championship is , at times, a monumental battle and all best prepared systems go out of the window. I also look at the lack of height and physicality in our back line. I think he'd be a good solid signing

Fair enough, i think he would be poor imo - just never seen him play well in a back 4

He has good height, so slow and very little mobility at the back - hence why he usually plays in a back 3

No offence to the boy but if we sign Dane Scarlett and no one else then the decision makers at the club are thicker than people thought.
I'd be massively concerned if they thought he was the answer.
Feels like another Burstow. I can get on board with a good youngun on loan but his record whilst out on loan isn't particularly good.

I’m obviously going to hold up criticising the club before we actually do anything. Scarlett isn’t the answer on a loan. Permanent he has potential as a backup but even then struggle to see how or where he fits.

But right now all we have is a rumour of a loan enquiry. And even if we have enquired, for all we know we’ve enquired for about 15 strikers.
