Signed Etienne Green today, thought that was a bit strange unless Trafford is going.

Spoke to a Burnley fan about this, apparently he was piss poor last season and then when dropped completely threw a hissy fit and Burnley have wanted rid of him since.

There was a chance Parker was going to give him a fresh start but it looks like he's not keen either.

No wow signings in the league though let’s be honest.

A few ‘good’ or ‘decent’ but nowt that’s been a jaw dropper.

When we do down I don’t want it to be on ****e just to move up a ****ing list <laugh>

Its all going to kick off over the next 3 weeks when Premier League clubs start making players available, and the parachute clubs start spending as a result. The knock on effect will be huge I think.

Trafford is a bizarre one, looked shocking last season but had a great loan at Bolton and is in and around the England squad.

Aye the Burnley fan said he's a good shot stopper but terrible with the ball at his feet, which was absolutely pointless for them seeing Muric was a big part of their game in the championship and Kompany was all about building from the keeper. Kompany persisted with him for 20 or so games and eventually dropped him and they improved drastically with Muric back in.

This Joffy lad sounds amazing compared to the lad we had on loan from Leeds that time.
He’s not what our priority would be but had we had him last season we’d have been better. I’m certain with games he will become a good player at this level, just not a 9 / goal getter which has to be put first addition.

Be lying if I said I knew anything about him other than he scored a few for Cardiff to be honest

Sory Kaba was with us at Cardiff and his goals helped us stay up. His all round game though isn't up to much and there was talk of him coming back to us. I think the large majority of Cardiff fans wouldn't want him back. Think he just had a bit of a purple patch goalwise. He's just not very good.

He's better than Ugbo though. Both similar as they stuck the ball in the net. But just not very good otherwise. I wouldn't want either back with us for free let alone part with cash.

Anyway looking forward to Bellingham doing a number on us again Saturday.

Think Cardiff have got a few shrewd players in on frees like, Chambers and El Ghazi. Not too sure about Willock. Japhet Tangana is one I would’ve been all over anarl especially on a free but might’ve wanted to stay in London.

I know. I think I just have dreamt half a season of pure toilet performance. Plenty of graft but never seen a pro player consistently strike a ball so unclean.

Thought he would have got game time last season but got minimal and done nish

I know some didn't agree but i really think Ricky-Jade Jones would fit the RLB system. Was rated as one of the best-pressing forwards in L1 from what I saw. Needs to improve his finishing but he still managed 12 goals last season.

Now give us a table of what those teams have brought in.
Using Transfermarkt so some numbers may be a bit off but they are normally at least close to being correct.

Burnley- £10m, parachute payments

Leeds- £115m, parachute payments

Coventry- £0, made big money last summer and will make a load more if/when Gyokores and Hamer move club

Hull- £40m

Boro- £0, made a massive transfer profit in last 2 seasons

Bristol City- £0, made a huge sale last summer

Norwich- £20m

Sheffield United- £27m, parachute payments

Stoke- £0

QPR- £2.5m

Swansea- £3.5m

Blackburn- £2.5m, big sale in January

Oxford- £0

Derby- £0

Millwall- £0

Sheff Wed- £0

Pompey- £0

PNE- £0

WBA- £4m

Cardiff- £1m

Watford- £12m, Asprilla will leave for £20m+ soon as well

Luton- £11m, parachute payments

Sunderland- £0

Plymouth- £0

Only non parachute payment club to spend serious money without making a profit in the last few seasons is Coventry.

I'd take Joffy over Rusyn everytime. I don't see how Rusyn contributes too much. Joffy links play, can hold the ball a bit and can press. Rusyn is a willing runner but that's it for me.

I'd sell Rusyn personally, don't think it's worked. He's behind Mayenda in the pecking order.
Gelhardt definitely improved as the season went on.
