they’re just reporting he’s an “option” mind. So don’t think anybody should see this one as imminent (yes I used that word)
I can see it happening but I can also see this leak being used to hurry Sheff Wed up.

Speakman and co will be deservedly shot with **** if we end up with no one again

Yeah I’ll be excited if we get him over the line but I have my negative nelly hat on about this one, I can as him going back to Sheff Wed

Do you honestly believe signing quality strikers is easy? Do you think Speakman and co are leaning back in their chairs going "nah, we'll just get a striker on deadline day. Who fancies a Nandos?"
Of course it’s not easy I’ve been banging that drum for a while but there’s a reason we can never get one over the line

Also of note scrolling down his feed. Can’t see the last time he reported on a transfer? Seems to me something has hit the press
It’s funny the same journalist get the leaks, I just hope it’s a positive one and not one to hurry Sheff Wed along.

Valid question, why are we in August and still weighing up our options?

I have no faith In Speakman or the rest of them at the moment, it seems we are dawdling.

so so frustrating.
Said it before that there's a very fine line between waiting for the right option and allowing something to disrupt your season. I feel like we are right on the line now. Still time though.

We wont be weighing up our options, we will have bids in for players but theres lots of factors involved in deals not coming off or taking ages to be done

We would have had our list of targets in place for a while and we will be working our way through it

no I reckon they are working hard but I also think the parameters they are deciding to work within are making it hard (price, age etc).

not saying they shouldn’t have parameters but maybe they need to have a bit more flex in them than it seems they have from the outside looking in.

Oh and I reckon speakman would say ‘cheeky’ nandos

Not easy at all. Especially when you are only willing to spend 30bob

quite possibly, or maybe we are using interest in ugbo to put a bit pressure on the mendy deal.

transfer shenanigans will no doubt be going on
Without a doubt. Someone is trying to get one done quickly whether it’s us pushing Ugbo out there so caen panic and give in

or whether it’s us pushing ugbo and showing him interest

something will happen very soon imo

There’s been about 15 strikers who’ve moved to championship clubs this summer already

Nobody is spending without selling. We seem to have made the choice to keep our better players but remain in the lower priced market over selling big and having more money to spend.
If we were to get Ugbo and Mendy for less than £5m total, but keep hold of Clarke, I'd be pretty pleased I must say.
