Call me a flapper twitchy arse etc but the Striker, Midfielder situation have gone on too long and us as fans can see it so why can’t they? Too stubborn to admit it? Money? Incompetent? Do you not think it might be none of those bolded? Ie, they will know we need it, they will be working on it, but they will not be held to ransom.
Really easy to spend someone else’s money when it has zero bearing on your job, not quite as easy as you (or many others) think I doubt.
I would usually agree with this but let’s be real. Other clubs seem to be getting strikers with nowhere near the same issues we seem to have. Let’s hope we see Mendy’s deal sorted soon
The fact a semi decent striker like Thomas Asante is costing 3 million and Sinclair Armstrong around about a similar fee, shows we are in a ridiculous market.

I’m hoping we are close to two strikers. Appreciate plenty of the window left but I firmly think clubs should try and get their business done before the season starts. Frustrates me that come the end of the season, clubs go on about 3 or 4 cup finals to play, to stay up or push for promotion, when at the same time, clubs are lacklustre in getting deals over the line in August which could increase points in the first few matches.
Doesn’t need to be about premium prices either, decisiveness and strong negotiating also play a part.

That “unnamed” thing still really intrigues me. Sheffield Wednesday and other clubs were named as linked for a while surely they’d have been named if they got him
The Wednesday ugbo talk seems to have died down so could be them, hit a real lull in the window now, sure it’ll ramp up post Marseille though
