Assuming you mean before the season starts next Saturday? We won’t get one in the next couple of days in my opinion.
So, let me put you in charge, with our financial fair play, and ask you to go out and not get your pants pulled down. Do you not think it might be none of those bolded? Ie, they will know we need it, they will be working on it, but they will not be held to ransom. Really easy to spend someone else’s money when it has zero bearing on your job, not quite as easy as you (or many others) think I doubt.
I would usually agree with this but let’s be real. Other clubs seem to be getting strikers with nowhere near the same issues we seem to have. Let’s hope we see Mendy’s deal sorted soon
The fact a semi decent striker like Thomas Asante is costing 3 million and Sinclair Armstrong around about a similar fee, shows we are in a ridiculous market.
https://planetnogomet.si/novice/zan...ZpqtGW2eKg3g3n8Shw_aem_dHZKHe0gaF2e2jVf95gEjw Roughly translated Žan Vipotnik has a free hand: the Slovenian national team striker has finally left Bordeaux, Dinamo has not (yet) called 3, 2, 1... start! The hunt can begin, Žan Vipotnik finally has free hands to find a new employer. It was clear that he would have them sooner or later. Bordeaux was left without professional status and also without a place in Ligue 2 . Coach Albert Riera left and returned toCelje, all the best football players will leave. Žan Vipotnik is no exception, but it is not unimportant that there are no legal obstacles to his relocation as of today. The contract with Bordeaux was finally terminated, Žan Vipotnik is on the job market. Where Žan Vipotnik will continue his career is impossible to say for now. There are a lot of clubs that want him. Some mention Crvena Zvezda , others Schalke and Bochum , Sunderland was (was) in the game , Dinamo Zagreb was mentioned in Croatia and on and on. But as far as Dinamo is concerned, Saša Župan , the football player's agent, made it clear for the Croatian Sportklub: " Nothing from Dinamo." Nobody called me. I think that if Dinamo really wanted him, someone would have already called me and 'prepared the ground' a bit. That's why we don't even think about Dinamo. We don't even take it seriously. However, Hajduk and Rijeka contacted us. " As for Hajduk, we arealready revealed a few days ago, that Žan Vipotnik rejected the possibility of moving to Poljud , the same applies to offers from Celje and Maribor , we can think that Rijeka also belongs in the same basket ... So looks like we're not in the running for him
I’m hoping we are close to two strikers. Appreciate plenty of the window left but I firmly think clubs should try and get their business done before the season starts. Frustrates me that come the end of the season, clubs go on about 3 or 4 cup finals to play, to stay up or push for promotion, when at the same time, clubs are lacklustre in getting deals over the line in August which could increase points in the first few matches. Doesn’t need to be about premium prices either, decisiveness and strong negotiating also play a part.
We’ve got a 1 in 24 chance of being the club that’s had a bid accepted for sory kaba, that’s about as much as I’ve got
That “unnamed” thing still really intrigues me. Sheffield Wednesday and other clubs were named as linked for a while surely they’d have been named if they got him
The Wednesday ugbo talk seems to have died down so could be them, hit a real lull in the window now, sure it’ll ramp up post Marseille though
Wouldn’t read too much into something that’s probably a translation issue. They’re probably just reporting that we were linked, not that we’ve changed our mind.
@arobasedzair2 Adil Aouchiche does not rule out a departure from Sunderland during this summer transfer window! @arobasedzair2 Adil Aouchiche could indeed be summoned in September! ✅ Vladimir Petković wants to include him in his plans for the selection.
