They’re in big trouble if they don’t get their act together.

Sold some quality players for good fees, but have only brought in that Giles & Drameh as full back options.

They still need to replace Greaves, Philogene & Tufan.
And Carvalho, and Morton, and Delap, and Ohio, and Zaroury, and Connolly, and Sharp, and Docherty, and their keepers. Absolutely mad squad turnover. Was always going to be the case if they failed to get promotion though after going for **** or bust...

Worth a deeper look this, I feel like the news cycle peddled it too quickly.

18 year old German defensive midfielder released by RB Leipzig this summer, he had been at the club since July 2016 (10 years old).

Born and raised in East Germany, he captained the Leipzig youth teams to the 3rd round in the UEFA Youth League last season, starting all 8 games in the competition. In the domestic youth league he captained the side 21 times and the only games he didn't play in were the final two, when it appears they had already decided to release him.

Blackburn have signed 3 strikers in the last 24 hours.

1 with 11 goals in 32 last season who is 6ft 4 and 26.
1 with 16 in 37 last season who is 28.
1 for the future who is 19 from Nantes.
If only we had the Venkys owning us!

What was Rusyn's record the season before he came here?

13 goals from a season played at LW

Think he played more as an inside forward mind, despite what transfermarkt are saying, a bit like how Amad was more of a FR, not as wide as Paddy Roberts but not central either. It's a unique position, you don't see it that often.

How do yiu know hes making do with them? Maybe hes been impressed by them, remember neil n mowbray were both impressed by them - Neil wanted to take them to stoke with him

Yes we need a striker

Neil is being turned into a CDM, he prefectly suits what they want a CDM to do but it was important to sign another quality CM - they did that in browne. We could probably do with a back up CDM but unlikely we will sign one who is better in the role than Neil.

Speakman and KLD have chamged things, folk kept moaning that we havent signed experienced or ready to start championship player, theyve signed 3 of them this yr. The only thing they havent really done is sign a striker yet.

Lets wait n see how the season starts before moaning about things

Pissing in the wind marra

I know people want experience but someone born and raised in East Germany is too old for me

First I’ve heard of the fee tbf, everywhere I looked said undisclosed and Speakman said ‘significant’. Didn’t even see a journalist mention any fee.

No reason to doubt you like, but I’d be surprised if we got that much. Basically a championship reserve player.
Heard it was 4m

Def not wasting his talents, he might be slightly better as a box to box but he has all the skills n qualities to play the CDM role

I actually think hes better now than what Evans was in our 1st season back in the league. Browne will help take Neil's game up a level this season

I cant wait to see how neil develops this season
The young german kid is a decent cdm. Maybe Neils replacement when he leaves

Hoping we see some activity this week with regards a striker. One of the pods made a good point about PL loans and how the Euros mean that a lot of the PL clubs will be taking u21 players on tour in the absence of their regular starters. This will the impact potential loan deals, delaying them until later in the window.

So, if we ARE in for a 1st choice like Mendy, and a young striker on loan it might be a couple of weeks for the latter.

In any case, feels like it will be Mayenda up front v Cardiff regardless. Let's just hope we have better options come 1st Sept.
Probably jobe
