We might be flirting with seven or eight forwards. We just don't know so it's not worth worrying until the season starts and we don't have anyone in.

Beg to disagree, multiple reasons why it maybe not possible. I'm loving where we are now and the direction we are going, compared to the end of the Short debacle and the chancers...

Agree, but there's the Bordeaux syndrome at play, there could be better value options available

Not denying this mate, got to treat these as 2 separate things.

These 2 strikers are both from Ligue 2 they ain’t going to break the bank.

A big sale will come this summer realistically, most likely Clarke but ideally someone else.

Completely agree, but it sounds to me like Mendy isn't our first choice and him and his agent might be trying to push the deal through before we have heard from the player we want.
You are right though another window without signing a goal scorer would be unacceptable.

Agree. We need a Championship ready striker if we're to progress this season and I have no doubt it is the constant and intense occupant of our management's little grey cells.

Just catching up on the pages

We will sign a ready for now CF, they dont need to be massively experienced, but they have to be able to hit the ground running.

Im not concerned at all, been told a few names from different people about who we are after and im excited by the calibre we are looking at - now to get the deals done

I reckon we will sign 2 strikers and i reckon both will be championship ready

I completely agree with your last sentence...I find the vendetta against KS unnecessary and indefensible.
If an "offer" is made for someone to come,have talks,we get to look at each other,then it's not a promise of a deal.......but,if there has been a promise of a deal,then rescinded,that is dishonest and,imo, falls into skulduggery. I'm in no way suggesting that is what's happened.
PS: This is turning into a literary forum....we've had "imminently"..now we've got "skulduggery". <laugh>:emoticon-0105-wink: Wonder what'll be next!:emoticon-0107-sweat

I do love it when the voice of reason arrives to calm everyone down :emoticon-0102-bigsm I get people’s concern but there’s 92 clubs in this country that all want a 25 goal striker they’re murder to find, i think what we’ve done so far this window shows lessons have been learned I’d back them to sort the striker issue too
