Incredibly random one but goes to show how much our academy has improved these last few years

The talent through our academy has risen massively over the last few years.

However, I wouldn't underestimate the role the likes of Kachosa and Ollie Younger etc played in keeping our cat 1 status.

Without signing the likes of these lads we wouldn't have been able to fill a team due to Donald and Co selling the crown jewels in that age group.

Signing them has allowed the likes of Rigg and Neil to stay and flourish

That's a cracking point mate.

Chilled the blood seeing a club the size of Bordeaux going the journey today, it could so easily have been us with the succession of greedy no marks we have had taking good money out of our club whilst returning precious little.

Absolutely. I remember lots of moans whe we've signed young lads who are never going to get near our first team. But unless we have enough young players the u21s won't be able to play.

It's also about paying into the football community. The club isn't here just to benefit our first team and city. Educating a range kf young lads must be part of the mission of the academy.
