Where's that from? He was expecting to be ready for preseason if he had a club.

I listened to a Sheff Utd podcast maybe a month or so ago, topic was the out of contract players, Egan, McBurnie, Jebbison etc They mentioned they'd like to resign him but due to injury and large wages it's very unlikely due to amount of season he will miss.

This isn't where I saw it but the quotes from Egan are similar to what I'd previously read elsewhere:

"I am in a good place now, my body feels good, and I am looking forward to pre-season."

We need to sell players to push on imo so I couldn’t care less if we lose some of our better players as long as we get good money/deals for them. This is the reality unfortunately as big of a club as we might be we’re a championship club who’s owner wants sustainability and this squad at the minute isn’t good enough to be in contention for automatics. Losing one player but strengthening two or more positions and the squad as a whole is a sacrifice we, like every other club at this level, needs to make.

Every player in that squad is replaceable. Philogene cost Hull 1/4 of what we’re wanting for Clarke. Van Ewijk at Coventry 1/4 of what we apparently want for Hume. Ampadu 1/3 of what we want for Ballard. They’re all players who were signed for “big money” at this level too.

He is perhaps my favourite signing of this regime. Picking up a lad from a semi pro to be as good as he is is an excellent testament to trusting scouting expertise. The lad is a credit to himself too. Oddly though the most exciting signing in the current regime for me is Pembele, all based on his early breakthrough at PSG and age group games at france. Different routes into the game, but if Pembele is what I think he might be we could have a future France right back on our hands in a couple of years.

i hope you are correct as at the minute I can’t see him as a right back, right wing back yes but he just looks completely disinterested in defending

Just seen Celtic are signing Paolo Bernardo for £3m and around £15k a week after his loan there last season, decent signing that thought he looked good for them but more of an 8 which were stacked with. Probably one you’ll know more about @Scout73 ??

Decent player, probably had more average/poor performances than good last season but he showed glimpses of a very talented player

One of the scouts at my club loves him, raves about him alll the time and he was hoping we would sign him

Which club is that, if you're allowed to say.
