haha cheers just an Irish lad wanting to discuss the lads without (most of) the toxicity

No bother mate, good to have new posters who don't come on to continually moan and talk about the past.

As you know things can change pretty quickly as we saw when Roy Keane took us from the bottom, of a division, to the very top. No reason the squad that were one game from the PL can't be challenging again.

Great to see that it looks like Rigg will sign a new contract, however, I'm slightly concerned that it's only 3 yrs. I assume that the 3 yr bit is down to Rigg, as I'm sure the club would want him on a longer contract. Am I right in thinking Jobe did something similar at Birmingham, and then signed for us the following year. Is it their way of saying 'thanks' to the club for initially supporting them, that they won't leave for peanuts, but they know next year they'll be away, and at least the club gets some financial reward? I hope I'm wrong but I feel we'll only get 1yr out of him before he moves on.

I kinda really would like to see us get Oli Mcburnie. I feel like he’s has a decent goal record and has the perfect type of arrogant attitude to play upfront. Good experience and free too

If that’s what we get before a whopping fee still got to respect the lad.

Aye that was when I was sold a dream by Niall Quinn at the time was in school with his son 10 year old me had no idea of the pain and suffering that was to come
although I wouldn’t trade some of those memories in the 10 years in the prem for anything

3 years is the most a player can sign at his age for his first contract. At least thats what I read somewhere

Didn't come across as particularly arrogant imo ...

... which some will construe as sly I'd imagine.

As long as the players and staff like him that's fine, none of us have to come into contact with him.
The criticism he’s had overall has been way over the top imo, he’s deserved some but the job he’s doing is no way as bad as some would have you think.

Not for me mate. I dont really rate him at all, and trouble seems to follow him around a bit. Might be a nice lad for all I know, but he has had his brushes with authority and I would stay clear.
