We should throw a lot at Sessegnon.

Rated the lad since Fulham when he was just superb. Spurs was wrong move and then injuries, but he’s young enough and he is capable anywhere down the left.

I’d love us to take a punt on the lad.
I like him but we shouldn't throw a lot at him, his injury record has been shocking. No doubt theres a very talented footballer there but we cant be spending silly wages on a player whose injured a lot

What’s his best position - LB/LWB/LM…?

Would he dislodge Cirkin or Clarke? I know one is always injured and the other is likely to be away. Reckon his wages will be a lot higher than we’re willing to pay too.

Aye by ‘a lot’ I daint mean PL wages.

If we could get 75% of the lad who was at Fulham we on a winner. I tipped him to be a top England player and I fully believed it he was exceptional.

That’s gotta still be in there somewhere.

So when he had the breakout at Fulham was a left sided midfielder and was superb, goals and assists galore.

It was a very strong side mind for the level at the time but he was proper standout.

I think he’ll have a lot of better options than SAFC this summer. Would be staggered to see him here.

Sounds about right, he was proper rated at one point.

Sure he did a mad loan somewhere. Villarreal maybe.

It's mental like, fringe u21 players in the premier league getting double the wages of a Championship veteran of 10 years like Alan Browne, one of the best midfielders in the division for the best part of a decade. The gulf between divisions is extreme and unhealthy at this point.

It is crazy mate. PL is heading way of NBA where you are guaranteed a million first year even if you don’t play.

Almost impossible to compete.

Always liked Ryan Sessegnon but injuries seem to have really halted his career be interesting to see where he goes next and if he can get a good run of games
Henderson and sessegnon in red and white next season? :emoticon-0103-cool:

Zero chance unless we’re willing to smash our wage structure.

I could see Henderson coming here for a wage that is within the structure, he was on around 400k in Saudi so he will have to take around 5% of that at Sunderland, it's not like him, his kids and probably his grandkids are set for life, if it's a passion project for him, he could make it happen.

If he signs for a mid-table premiership team, which is probably where he is in terms of ability and reputation in 2024, he will probably look for around 100k a week, which is still a massive reduction.

Hendo didn’t get a penny from Saudi.

Hardly skint of course will have 20million and more banked.
