Trigger the release clause for the Rotherham keeper it’s only around £800k (apparently) and reinvest the rest elsewhere and it’s a good move

The Patterson to Liverpool move seems strange to me. Leaving his boyhood club where he's a nailed on starter to be a back up doesn't seem like a good move to me. It also seems like a strange move for Liverpool considering his ability with the ball at his feet is probably the weakest part of his game.

For us though, £12m would represent good business if we could bring Johannson (or someone of that level in) for around £1m.

Matty Young is the future number 1 of this club and I'd want his route into the first team clear for a couple of years' time so no need to overspend in that position.

If maric is our new head coach wouldnt mind him bringing Lovro zvonarek with him

young cm, Croatian u21 International, very highly rated at bayern (played for 1st team this season). Very good technically but is about 6ft so has the physicality he would need

Obviously we would still need an experienced cdm on top of him

It'll be interesting to see the potential markets for loans that he would open up. You'd assume that both Bayern and Leipzig would trust us with their young players.

Tyrese Campbell apparently leaving Stoke on a free would anyone take him? Goal return isn’t great on paper but can’t say I’ve seen him much other than against us

Have to say mind I don’t want Patto to leave, certainly not for £12m. He has areas to improve such as distribution but is still young for a keeper. He’s an excellent shot stopper certainly at this level and we have been burned many times thinking the keeper is an easy position to replace.

He’s not been helped by the tactics and lack of a proper DM or target man. I bet he’s one of only a few players any incoming coach would want to keep.

There’s a reason he’s being linked to big clubs and it’s not just for the home grown quota.
I can see both sides on this one. Any fee is pure profit but like you I think good goalkeepers are hard to coms by. I appreciate the game has changed but I still think a top keeper is worth 10 points a seaaon. All the best teams are generally blessed with an elite keeper. I dont want us picking up a young lad who hasnt played much. If Patto goes we need to ensure it is an upgrade we get and that wont be cheap. Freebies wont cut it in my opinion.

I wouldnt have anyone from Stoke tbf mate, theres a reason they finished lower than us. Id have Gooch back though tbf, we should never have let him go
Birmingham have a few worth looking at, hall, James and paik, not sure on Huddersfield, Thomas looked a handful against us but we were dog **** both games, also like rudoni but not sure he’s what we need

Paul wanner would be one to look at from bayern, hes been on loan this season and he is highly highly rated in german football

Pretty sure he played for bayern at 16 yrs old

Paddy McNair has announced he is leaving Middlesbrough after six years at the club.

In a post on Instagram, he said: "After six years and 219 appearance’s my time Middlesbrough has come to an end.

"Big thank you to all of the players, staff and the fans for the support throughout the years.

"Looking forward to the next chapter"

Id have him back in a heartbeat
