Depends on how good those players are tho. Our 'model' when SD n CM were in charge was sign proven players in that league n it was shocking. We then get younger hungrier players in and we kick on - also signing of experienced players from the league above was key

Ideally i would want players who know the league but im fine with players who havent played in the league before but they have to be able to hit the ground running. For me that means players that have played at a good level for a couple yrs
I think the type matters. It’s a quick physical league. People like Clarke can handle the battle. Ekwah has the body but not the personality for the battle and gets found out, Rusyn has done better than Burstow and Hemir and he seems hungrier for a scrap. Rigg has it. You have to be ready for a rumble. Aouchiche in his cameos seems to fancy it it more. You can’t technique your way out of the championship if your technique isn’t backed up with a battle and some grit.

Agreed, thats what i mean when i say championship ready. Need to be willing to win the battle before you can play fancy football. Ipswich do it well, they have a good mix of flair players and water carrier types who'll do the dirty stuff for the team

29 next month. Played plenty of games at this level. Comfortable in a number of positions. That’s a decent shout.
Would be ideal right now, holding mid sorted and could have dropped in for our mini centre half crisis we have atm

A few signings I think are well within our reach because I’ve no idea if we’ll spend or be ambitious..

Cameron Brannigan from Oxford. No idea why he’s still there he’s far too good for L1 and exactly what we need in the middle. One I’d be willing to eat my words with that his experience has came at a worse level than we’re currently playing but he’s played about 250 games in 6 seasons there.

Liam Millar from PNE. We’ve all seen him this season - really rate him and think he’d be brilliant for us to replace Clarke. Direct, tricky, draws defenders in.

Harrison Burrows Peterborough - young left back been flying for them this season. Good on the ball, exceptional crossing ability. Got about 15 combined G&A this season and in the top .1 percentile for chances created and touches in opposition half for full backs.

If anyone’s mad enough to sub to Nixon Everton are after one of our left backs apparently no idea who it’s been that long since we’ve seen them :emoticon-0102-bigsm
