You are never going to please everyone though, no matter how hard you try. I’m an eternal pessimist, I find it better cos if I’m wrong, it makes me happy, if I’m right I knew all along and was ready for it
But I still don’t get it cos at the end of the day, we all want the same things..
Great post. I’m an eternal optimist! As a Sunderland fan, it’s not the best over the 43 years I’ve been going!!

i bolded that bit because I honestly believe it’s not true. After watching the post match stuff (podcasts, videos, reports, twitter and facebook stuff), I truly believe we have fans that hate it when things go well!

Isidor's heatmaps make for interesting reading.

This one is from 21/22. You can see he was used as a wide player here.

This one is from 22/23. Here you can see that while he still favours the left side of the pitch, he was used more centrally.

He also said in an interview once he models his game off Henry and Aubameyang as they are his idols

No competent striker for 18 months, humiliating your support and selling your best player for relative peanuts. Aye great management that.
So again you mention the same 2 things but added the standard striker chat

Having a bad window(s) doesnt mean bad management tho, do arsenal have bad management? As they didnt sign another striker last yr to help them win the league? Do city have bad management as they sold palmer for peanuts for what hes worth now?

The important thing is learning from poor windows and it looks like we are doing that

How would you run the club then? Cant wait for the 'just sign a competent striker n keep all your best players'. Btw we have kept most of our best players, looks like Clarke is away but thats it

Our so called bad management are also the same people that signed him

It makes me wonder if people are paid by other clubs to troll rival fans by posing as SAFC fans in this case, in order to create chaos and for the chaos to manifest into the boardroom and onto the football pitch

We just aren't being ran badly though are we. First time in a long time we've made a serious profit on a player, that is the sign of a well ran club if you can do it consistently. You have to sell to improve. You think the fee is low, that is fair enough but considering precedent it's a more than fair fee. Especially considering the addons are apparently in our favour and the sell on clause means if he does well we'll get an additional windfall at some point in the future.

Selling to reinvest is the only way non parachute payment clubs can compete.

Mate, you're wasting your energy. Consider,if we'd have sold Jacky for £30m and then announced the loan signing of Wilson, there would immediately have been posts about KLD trousering the money, not willing to spend, weakening the squad etc.etc. Our club has some "followers" who are always very keen to say how many years they have suffered, and who criticise almost everything the club does,in doing so compounding their own continued pessimism. I don't think it's ever been different in my lifetime at least. My eternal hope is that one of these days, under this regime, we're going to hit the big time, winning trophies left, right and centre and we get the chance to properly mock them and call them out.

It’s relevant to what I was asked. Some won’t have a word said against the owners.

let’s just hope they use the Clarke money wisely.

We all hope that some of their decisions over the past 18 months have been poor to say the least.
