He’ll have plenty of interest but we tried to sign him at Liverpool so we’ve had a long standing interest. I’d take him, Delap and Browne from the PNE squad. ( I know only Browne was their player).
I’m sure Browne is out of contract. Would definitely take him here. Good, solid championship player with bags of experience. I’m desperate for us to improve the squad down the spine.

LIAM MILLAR is being eyed up by Premier League relegated duo Burnley and Sheffield United.

And the Basel midfielder, 24 has also attracted interest from several Championship clubs.

That includes Preston, where he spent last season on loan and Sunderland as well as a number of European sides.

I'd be over the moon if we got him. Looks a very capable replacement for Clarke and has the level of experience that we are looking to add.

Been offered a new deal at PNE, highest in clubs history

He should be our no1 target for CM imo, hes quality and still got room to improve
I wouldn’t disagree there. Definitely the type of signing I want this summer.

He’s made 35+ league appearances in 8 of the last 9 seasons. That’s some going. Still only 29.

Saw this on nufc page.
Don’t know if it’s been posted here before.
They seem to think it may happen.
It was from 5 days ago.

Starts:

TBR Football is reporting that [HASHTAG]#nufc[/HASHTAG] remain hopeful of winning the long battle to land Sunderland's Chris Rigg.

The 16 year old who plays for Sunderland currently is a well known Geordie and Newcastle united fan.

Could we be seeing this summer someone make the jump to their huge rivals?!

NUFC and SAFC fans how would you feel about the potential transfer?

Ends.
I will call BS on this as I have a cousin and nephew who know the family well and speaking to my cousin last week who had been talking to Rigg a couple of days before he said " Riggy doesn't think he will be going anywhere and was looking forward to the new season". he specifically asked him about Newcastle's interest and again he replied " I am a Sunderland supporter, how could I not be they have supported me for years".
I know fans are anxious and this is second hand news from me but TBH it is just what I have heard from 2 people I know that know the lad as they took me to his house to pick up a signed shirt for my grandson so have no reason to doubt them ( the grandson got to meet Riggs dad and was buzzing and talks about it constantly and I think he is Riggy's biggest fan )

Really intrigued to see what Glasner can do with Palace after they add to the squad this summer. Of course, keeping their best players would be a massive help too but they’ll have some serious interest…

Riggler is almost definitely signing a pro deal with us, the question after that is when do the offers come in, personally I don't think we'd sell this summer unless a daft offer came in (£20m+), another season or two of first team football should add to his value.

He’ll have plenty of interest on a free transfer…

5 year contract at 30, 200k a week, a disaster waiting to happen for someone, Chelsea seems to fit the bill.
I would’ve said Chelsea not so long ago but they’re targeting younger players now. He’ll get a good move though, no doubt
