Hull City boss Liam Rosenior expects a busy end to the transfer window as he looks to put the finishing touches to his squad before next Friday’s deadline.

The Tigers could bring in as many as five new players ahead of the 11pm shut off next week, with a goalkeeper, midfielder, two wingers and a striker on their radar. Some departures are also expected.

Talks with Aston Villa remain ongoing over a double deal to bring Jaden Philogene and Keinan Davis to the MKM Stadium, and it’s hoped the 21-year-old could still be concluded ahead of Friday night’s home clash with Bristol City.

The deal to bring Davis to City has been agreed with Villa and it’s now down to the player to decide, given he has options elsewhere but there is a belief a move to the MKM Stadium will happen.

It's weird that is only just being finalised now, when their previous contracts ended in June.

They mentioned offering these players deals in the retained list write-up at the time, with the exception of Wood who was strangely not acknowledged until now.

Perhaps they have been so busy that they told the players not to worry they will get their contracts sorted but just give them time while they are working on other business, dunno but may be the reason.

They've just waited to announce them all in one go haven't they?

I think they're just being formally announced now, we couldn't have loaned Jarvis and Wood to Shelbourne without us having a contract in place already.

Harry hadn't signed as of yesterday morning as I had coffee with his Dad and asked the question. His Dad did say he was p'd off with something that made us both laugh..

They took options on 4/5 mentioned so obviously either signed on top of that to add in another option and so on

Wood being the other one I guess? Seems to have been something funny going on with him for a while. Always this rumour about him being annoyed, thinking he should be playing and so on. Can't see how he's in a position to make such demands when he's done nothing in the game yet.

Yeah, guess he’s just annoyed the club always want to keep him around but don’t seem to have a plan to get him ready for the first team. At 20 turning 21 you shouldn’t be playing a full season at u21 level.
