I think Twine is very different to the permanent signings. Its unlikely that Burnley would have loaned him to a PL club and his wages won't rise by going on contract to a recently relegated club.

He is much more likely to pick somewhere he think plays to his strengths and where is he going to get consistent game time.

That's very different to a permanent signing, who will definitely be swayed by the pay packet.

At the end of the day it does not really matter we have them or they are coming and that is all i care about the more that come now and if we are a success more will want to come in the future for me this is best it's been for a very long time.

Fully agree. After 50+ years of supporting what has been seen as both an fashionable City and club I’d love to think that players are beginning to want to come here, and if that’s the case then we have an awful (more) lot to thank Acun for. Either way the business that we look to be doing is exceptional and will stand us in good stead for the season ahead.

I’ve chucked a tenner at 80/1 on us doing a Burnley.

UTMT!

It's weird that is only just being finalised now, when their previous contracts ended in June.

They mentioned offering these players deals in the retained list write-up at the time, with the exception of Wood who was strangely not acknowledged until now.
Perhaps they have been so busy that they told the players not to worry they will get their contracts sorted but just give them time while they are working on other business, dunno but may be the reason.

We are just painstakingly slow at announcing things that’s all. Took them about 2 months to announce Traore. I wouldn’t look too much into it.

It is slow alot slower than we are used to but if we get the targets in the end it's worth the wait i think, ****ing **** having to wait though lol.

I thought I'd have a look at that, will only let you bet up to £31.25. I was going to pop £50 on champions and £50 to get promoted and treat the family to a nice holiday out of it ( dreaming I know )
