Yeah, it’s weird. Acun and Kesler apparently don’t have the patience to build a project and want immediate success/promotion yet they’ve appointed a young, inexperienced but ambitious and forward-thinking manager in Rosenior. Surely they must know now that this is a long-term project and not a case of trying to get promoted as soon as possible for the financial benefits.

I don’t know how close we are to the FFP limit but the way they go on about it suggests we can’t really spend much at all on transfer fees, hence us being linked with and signing players on loan and free transfers.
I think we’ve a much better chance with these loans and keeping Oscar and Greaves. Utilise exciting young premier league youngsters and keep the decent core we have.

I assume rosenior isn’t a high earner himself
And would a proven manager come if he knows what the budget is?

If you really wanted to get into it the first sign was going from Pedro Martins who probably wanted a decent wage and budget to the more 'modest' option in Rosenior.

I'm happier they went this way but you could analyse it

I distinctly remember a lot of sellout crowds. We did fill it up

We have no bother filling it when we're winning every game.

And if we get in the prem there'll be 18k passes no bother.

If the results come the crowds will too, but to be the hot ticket in town we have to be winning more often than not.

Blackburn are in the **** financially, apparently. Travis would be a good addition for our midfield.

A club is only sustainable so long as an owner is willing to put their hand in their own pocket to underwrite the losses.. My fear since he walked in was if Acun got impatient and bored and walked away. I would hope the purchase of Shelbourne means that keeping City in his plans for the medium term is assured, but he may well end up buying a Turkish club and offloading us, who knows.

If we aren't in the prem within 3yrs, I doubt he'll be our owner after those 3yrs and I'm not even sure he'll stay long term if we go up ( I think he'll sell after 1 season )

Yes, I think I remember someone (Acun or Tan) making the comment that the intention would be to get us to the PL and then sell.

So the hope will need to be if/when he sells it goes to that dreaded 'good home'. Things can unravel quickly with supposedly good new owners like Reading and Wigan.
