I think we’ve a much better chance with these loans and keeping Oscar and Greaves. Utilise exciting young premier league youngsters and keep the decent core we have.
Pedro Martins they were going to bring in was far from cheap Good point though in the grand scheme of things
If you really wanted to get into it the first sign was going from Pedro Martins who probably wanted a decent wage and budget to the more 'modest' option in Rosenior. I'm happier they went this way but you could analyse it
18,000 in a 25,000 stadium is not filling it up. It is good for that league but was nearly 30% short of being full.
My first ticket to City was next to next to nothing…it was nothing. Sensible strategy IMO. Very much like drug dealers
I would ask you to explain, but you’ve already covered that eventuality. This? Nah, Lucozade mate. What? Oh yes, it does kind of look like that, haha, anyway best be getting on…
Ours took the piss, tumour, and dogs knackers, a bargain at just over six thousand quid! The views expressed in my posts are not necessarily mine.
We have no bother filling it when we're winning every game. And if we get in the prem there'll be 18k passes no bother. If the results come the crowds will too, but to be the hot ticket in town we have to be winning more often than not.
A club is only sustainable so long as an owner is willing to put their hand in their own pocket to underwrite the losses.. My fear since he walked in was if Acun got impatient and bored and walked away. I would hope the purchase of Shelbourne means that keeping City in his plans for the medium term is assured, but he may well end up buying a Turkish club and offloading us, who knows.
If we aren't in the prem within 3yrs, I doubt he'll be our owner after those 3yrs and I'm not even sure he'll stay long term if we go up ( I think he'll sell after 1 season )
Yes, I think I remember someone (Acun or Tan) making the comment that the intention would be to get us to the PL and then sell. So the hope will need to be if/when he sells it goes to that dreaded 'good home'. Things can unravel quickly with supposedly good new owners like Reading and Wigan.
