lovely city...Spanish Steps, Trevi fountain. That round building that's falling down. The Pantheon and all those idyllic squares. All within easy walking distance.....I'd go tomorrow. It's only a couple of hours on CheapJet. And loads of those cheap pension places to crash....Plus some nice beers and ice cream.
Been to Rome, even played football there and I know what a beautiful place it is. I just fail to see why Roma would be intererested in being invovled with Hull City? I'd even be surprised if anyone at Roma knew where Hull is?

Spot on UP....Hull, and City will be the equivalent of say Bari or Livorno in Italy. I can't see a West Ham, a Fulham, or a Everton type of English club wanting any of their players, or knowing where those places are.

Isn’t most of that irrelevant when it’s relationship to do probably with player loans etc at different levels for experience . How big a City or club again has no bearing on where players come from.

Fair enough.....They can have Greaves and we'll have Chris Smalling or better still Tammy Abrahams for the season and for the experience, assuming he's not walking on crutches.

Was there back in April, indeed a lovely city but the rubbish on street corners was a big problem. They must pay a fortune on air fresheners over there!

Tan has a good relationship with their chief executive Tiago Pinto, they’ve known each for many years it seems.

I love how Liam talks about the game and his positivity, ditto Acun and Tan, but there does seem to be a bit of a disconnect between Liam saying weeks ago he wanted to get business done early and give new players a full pre -season and then Acun just saying this week that we might have to move some out before we move some in. Was this breaking news to Liam as well?
The reality surely will always be that a mid table championship team is dependent a bit on movement higher up the pecking order before we can sort out deals. I suspect loan deals done in August will be important, as they always are.
Still feel very positive about the direction of the club but it seems to me both Liam and Acun/Tan are still on a steep learning curve. I also think that we are never going to buy our way out of this division. Success will depend largely on building a coherent team and a coach who gets more out of existing players - see Luton as an example. On both of those, feel we're moving in the right direction.

Old man Allam didn’t get much right in the pr side of things etc
But
He was very clear
Steve Bruce is the manager and he’s in charge of all the football side of things
As it is at all the best clubs
As soon as silly **** ehab knew better and meddled it went tits up

to pretend it’s good and acun should comment on footballing targets or recruitment is ****ing stupid and him passing on info via blokes from a pub ffs no

Last clause of your last sentence is on the nail.

I ain't been to Roma for at least 20 years. I can't recall a rubbish problem. But I was in NYC in May. Geez the **** on the streets there, particularly around Chinatown, is unbelievable. Or maybe the garbage people were late out that day. Still Central Park has to be the cleanest green space on earth.
