That would be a laugh.
At least some of our fans couldn’t moan about the lack of height of someone called The Big Yin.
That would be a laugh.
Our plan is promotion in the next year or two.Because developing talent and selling on to reinvest is the businessplan for all championship clubs without parachute payments.
It will be a question of maximising his value. Will be worth less in his final year.
Our plan is promotion in the next year or two.
And without goals we will never achieve it.
Well what I’ve learnt so far on this thread is:-
Oscars defo going
Connelly and Tetteh will definitely be injured all next season
Delap is overrated and will be rubbish
Harry will go on loan to Brid Town or is it Trinity
Vinagre is totally f****d so is signing
Darlow loved it here that much he’s going to Boro - not for the money
Tufan’s bought a house in Swanland so he’s going back to Turkey
Greaves is defo going for peanuts
City should make admission free to all
but what I wish is that I had all your crystal balls or access to the firm info you all have access to .
Opinions are fine negative guesses or assumptions are really worthless .
Anyway how do you all ‘know’ this stuff, club’s a sieve of confidential information
Mind you it’s entertaining LOL
Who else is going to pay him £8-10k a week? He failed at Boro, failed at Venezia and got crocked with us
Considering we'll have paid similar to get Vale for half a season and Baxter for a full season, I don't think it's a bad punt.
At the end of the day, they're loans so who cares if they play. It gives us loads of options upfront and all the out-and-out strikers are a little different.
I don't begrudge selling Oscar for 7 figures. Taking a punt on someone and making a tidy profit is exactly how clubs like us stay afloat. Hopefully in the process some of those punts help us gain promotion.
Would hope it's 8 figures..
So why don't Brighton pay out his contract and we sign him? That's my point. There's no benefit to Brighton doing things this way, they aren't going to get a fee for him.
They've got an option year so they could definitely get a fee for him if he has a decent season

Baz….you’d put your house on it happening nowHas the Connolly interest actually been confirmed by a proper source yet or is this all still pie in the sky?
I would expect there would be extra costs and it wouldn’t just be a case of making up the difference. Loaning him is probably cheaper up front, don’t know if there’s any tax benefit/implications of one way vs the other either?
Think the answer is the year option, nothing more complicated than that.
Loads of players go out on loan in their final year, can hardly think of many times they’ve been released instead.
I'm going to my ex's wedding next week. I'm giving her away.Yep. Also available for weddings.
I hear The Big Yin's tall enough.**** me...Judging by the panic,I think there's some on here who think we're taking Billy Connolly on loan.
