Oscar is a very good player, we never have good strikers and this season for once we had a good striker. Proper weird that it's become so popular to make out he's bad. Get a few other attacking players around him and he'll score plenty.
It's people seeing what they want to see instead of what's Infront of them.
What's he done for us to prove he's a very good player? You look at any stats website and none of them have him in our top 10 players.
He's one of the few players I can remember us having where he gets a free pass for being completely anonymous and we've always looked better without him in the side, whether that be when Daws dropped him for Longman or when Tufan played up top when he was injured.
He's only being called a very good striker because of his pedigree, if we'd have signed him on a free transfer from Gillingham, he'd be criticised massively
For a man that got very little service over the course of the season he's done surprisingly well. His goals kept us from falling into a potential relegation threat while we were playing our worst stuff. He was injured for the most part when we started playing much better, but even when we improved later in the season the service into the box still wasn't great. If we rectify that with some strong attacking options over the summer he could score so many more for us next season.
Saying he doesn't suit the style when we've not truly seen it yet doesn't add up to me.
I personally think people criticise him because of his finishing. He's scored a few for us by almost 'scuffing' them in, and it seems to rub some up the wrong way. I'm not sure what people expected him to do this season with some of the issues we've had in even getting a decent ball to a striker more than once every other game.

Oscar isn’t the most technical striker but works hard and has a knack of being in the right place. He’s frustrating because he can be sloppy both in front of goal and in general play.
My personal preference would be to sell, but that’s only because we could get a decent fee for him and it gives us the opportunity to recruit someone who fits the style of play we want to implement. Having said that if he’s still here next season I wouldn’t be disappointed and would be interested to see how he can develop under Rosenior

If we signed a striker from Gillingham who scored 7 in 6 for us before the side got smashed with injuries and his forward partner missed huge stretches for the season, and he still managed another 6 goals some of which won us points with some cracking goals scored, I reckon we'd be pretty positive on him.
I agree unlikely unless SH deems him surplus to requirements. He must know Alfie Jones as they are only 2 years apart in age, maybe someone to sway the situation if he does become available..
Reminds me of when it was the in thing to slander Fryatt despite him bagging week in week out.
How does Oscar's goal scoring record compare to Tom Eaves when he wearing the number 9 shirt?
If we could get £4m for Oscar and replace with someone like… Chris Martin on a free. That would be absolutely outstanding business.
Did he ? My only issue is how many more he could have got if he’d not tend to set himself up by an extra touch than needed in the box , but good ‘composed ‘ players do tend to do that - just HiT it!!

Óscar has 13 league goals in 34 appearances for us. Tom Eaves scored 14 in 97 appearances for us.
In fact, Óscar has scored more goals in the Championship for City in one season than Eaves did for us in two Championship seasons.

I don't particularly want Óscar to go but I would rather we sell him instead of Greaves if we need to balance the books. If we could get Haji Wright as Óscar's replacement, that would be even better. I think Wright would suit Rosenior's style a bit more as he's surprisingly quick for a lad of his size and likes to make runs in behind defenders whereas Óscar is more of a poacher and doesn't have much pace.
Bit unfair when you look at the standard of players Eaves was surrounded with for many of his games.
