Million Manhoef from Vitesse would be a great signing for any Championship club. Really think we should be looking at Belgium and the Netherlands if the club thinks we get better value from foreign leagues.

I'd run a mile from the dutch league, it's the polar opposite in terms of style from the Championship

Not these days.

The Eredivisie is a good league but it has plenty of similarities to PL2, it's got the youngest average age of the big leagues, which is why many PL sides have sent their youngsters over there in the past few years and to the Eerste Divisie too. But the physicality is none existent and one of the things we desperately need this summer is physicality. I'm not saying you can't get decent players from over there and it's a great start for technical young players into senior football.

There are going to be plenty of expectations for us this year, we won't have much to spend on transfer fees and it feels way too risky to go to Holland. Let's be honest, when we make analyst-based signings, our record is pretty poor as well.

I don't really want to see us signing players from anywhere other than domestically and Turkey (Tan has a decent knowledge of the MLS too), they're the leagues we know comprehensively. I'm not saying for a second the Turkish League is as good as the Dutch League but it still gives us an edge.

I’m sorry but both Turkish league and MLS are retirement leagues for players who have played most of their career in the top 5 European leagues. Very rarely do you see players coming from either of these leagues to better ones. However, the Dutch and Belgian leagues are pipelines for better leagues and players from there do well in English football. Are you suggesting our recruitment from Turkey has been better than Burnley’s from Belgium? Come on.
