Couldn't agree terms and the forward positions are where our budget will be spent, so they couldn't guarantee him a pathway this season. Shame, he is a decent prospect.

Where do you think hell end up
Could be one we regret

I suspect he'll go back to London, he's only a young lad. Plenty of clubs will snap him up. He's good enough to be playing National League, in my opinion, so maybe Bromley, Dagenham, Wealdstone or Barnet would snap him up.

But I think a more realistic outcome will be that he'll sign for a league club's youth set up as a scholar. Perhaps somebody like Leyton Orient or AFC Wimbledon.

Harry Wood isn't mentioned in the retained list. He signed a two-year contract in May 2021. Did he get another deal somewhere along the line that I missed?

Oh so he's not mentioned because it's not resolved? Strange though since they do mention that Robson is in the same position.
Yeah it’s an odd one, they’ve grouped all the u21s together as offered new deal/option exercised too

Not really. Whiteman was 24 and by far the best player in League 1. He’s just got better since playing in the Championship. Dougall is a 30-year-old League 1 journeyman who has struggled in the Championship.
I’d also be looked at Wintle at Cardiff think we could be the gem of the 3.

We are interested, but it's not a cheap deal, lots of moving parts would need to fall into place. Darlow also has a contract with Newcastle till 2025 on approx 27k a week, which I'm not sure he's willing to walk away from.
Weirdest thing happened on Friday. I went with a couple of City fans to Parma as they wanted to look at the errea HQ and we took in a game at rhe same time. One had his City shirt on and as we walked into a bars outside seating area a Geordie lad called us over and told us he was a City fan. Despite early concerns he might just be off his head he actually is a member and comes to plenty of games at the MKM.

Anyway we followed each other on twitter and the next day he sent us a picture of him on his plane home with Karl Darlow who happened to have the very next seat to him!!!

He has since tweeted that picture. He said Darlows missus dropped some massive hints he will be at the club next year as well as Karl himself stating he expects his kid to grow up a City fan which is odd for someone who wasn't here more than a few months. He must be coming back.
