It's 100% the medical staff's fault and I have no idea why he keeps defending them.
The medical staff treat the player once he has been injured, they are not the cause of it. That cause is either from lack of fitness, overplaying players, or preparation by the coaches. I don't think Shota's preseason prepared players properly for the Championship.
Some players are just more prone to injuries than others, not sure how getting rid of the medical team will help anything. They are there to help the player recover from injuries, the player they've done that with might've been declared fit to play but just so happens to get injured again in a few weeks. Think about Michael Owen who kept getting injured constantly, his muscles were just knackered from when he was younger, or Jonathan Woodgate, injured every other game he played. Ledley King is another, played with basically no knee, hardly the medical teams fault he injured it again after again. They help these players get back to being fit but reoccurrence of injuries is always more likely after having one previously.

Did you take up golf Benster?I tore my cartilage when I was 28. Obviously not as bad as DenDen’s knee or ChaCha’s covid but bad enough for him to tell me not to play football again.
“Take up golf & swimming” he said.
Came out of the consultation & told the better half he’d said I can do owt & carry on as normal. Played my last game when I was 52 & took up squash when I was 40. No problem with my knee apart from the odd out & straight back in dislocation.
I do have trouble with my ticker though. Do you think I could sue that doc?
I know someone who was having his last physio session after surgery repairing a snapped achilles tendon.Don't think you'd have much luck! If you had a physio telling you your hamstring injury was healed and you were good to go play football and you re-injured yourself immediately you might have a better case though!![]()

Is it naive? Please explain it to me. Ally was here last season but suffered two hamstring injuries, one which Rosenior admitted he was rushed too quickly back and suffered.
Similar with Tetteh suffering two hamstring injuries. The first you can blame on pre-season/recruitment, the second? The old adage "Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice.." comes to mind.
If medical staff are being overruled and players are coming back against their advice, then what are they there for? If they're being listened to and players are coming back too early, then what do they know?
Not sure it's 'naive' to blame the staff responsible for keeping players fit when players don't stay fit.
These same medical staff are the ones undertaking the medicals before players sign....

That's a shame Benster.I did Den Den. but was told to either stop or play left handed when they fitted my ICD. Have some dusty clubs in the garage somewhere as I gave up. Was never gonna be as good as Tiggy Woowoo anyway.
I am left handed and play right handedThat's a shame Benster.
We could have met up with AskyAsky, and maybe even ChaCha for a game.
I sometimes might as well play left handed mind you! (and I'm not left handed btw)
Not uncommon apparentlyI am left handed and play right handed

I do I just don’t like to talk about itNot uncommon apparently
You’re the exact opposite of Phil Mickelson & Jordan Speith throws left handed but plays golf right handed…so you should be able to play exactly like him![]()
